download did not work

I can not download any mods.
overview of new mods is not so good.
Missing comments and old patchnotes.
old design was better.

Which mods can't you download? Please specify. I have been able to download mods off the new site with no issues. Posting what mods and your browser (and version) would help the devs track down any bugs and kill them. Regarding comments and old patchnotes: This is a new site (replacing the old one). Some things may not get migrated over or will be migrated at a later date. Again let the devs sort any issues before passing judgment.

I cant download every mod.
I press the download button and after a while i get the "page can not be displayed" message.
I use IE7, all updates.

Try to download my own mod, some of the new mods shown on the startscreen.
All the same, page can not be displayed.

Picture turns darker, loading sign is running but picture will not become bigger or shown.
Tryed it with 2 different pc. (running XP and Vista)

I can confirm thats happening to me as well..

Get 'Page not found' page when trying to download any mod.

When clicking on screenshots the page darkens but nothing else happens. If I middle click to open picture in new tab I get a 'Page cannot be displayed' error.

edit: this is all on a work machine, I see theres some port numbers specified in the URL's. Maybe our firewall/proxy is not liking that.

Yes, Clavina you are correct, we are serving all our downloads and screenshots from a different port now which is probably being blocked by your work firewall.

We will try and find a way around this as soon as possible.

thats not nice...

that could bring a lot of problems now if the downloads are blockled in order of portcontrol.

Please fix that, so taht we can download und upload mod as we did on the old page.

Ok, I got a similar issue using the updater, then I came to the page (beta) and clicked on download for TradeJunkie 2.11. However, the file name that popped up was 1188383307-336044691-788093014.zip. :)

Yup, that's the correct file names. We now just instruct your web browser to download the zip files straight from their source, for increased speed. All files uploaded by the authors using the new site as just given numeric names (as you can see) for security.

Ok wierd one (again from a work computer). I'm now getting the following error when trying to access http://wowui.incgamers.com/

The page isn't redirecting properly.
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

Not one i've seen before tbh! I've deleted all the incgamer cookies in case that was the problem but it didn't help.

Is it possible to not call on uncategorised IP addresses when trying to DL a mod or view screenshots?

I still dislike strange filenames with many numbers inside. I know you can keep them separated on the server, but for me, i like more good renamed files which is used in old site. Now i cannot see which mod is behind the numbered file, thus i must always open it.
A bit annoying. I'm not an android. Can you use old filename system?

For now, we don't think this is going to change, for techical reasons. For us it is a minor inconvenience in exchange for quite a large security benefit which I won't go into here.

It may be a minor inconvenience for you, but for your users it's quite a lot bigger. Quite annoying having to rename each and every file you download.

I can understand the argument that it is a relatively "minor inconvenience", but at the same time, people can be fickle and product differentiation shouldn't be understimated.

If I'm confident that the AddOn would be available at Curse, or WoWInterface without having to rename it, then that's where I'd go do download it.... I honestly think that people who would have visited this site first when searching for an AddOn, would now visit some other site first - including me :cry:
[btw, I'm not advertising for Curse which has had so many bugs recently :rolleyes: ]


(Speaking of product differentiation when compared with other AddOn sites, another feature that has changed which has turned me off from the site a little, is the fact that many AddOns pictures have now been replaced by red crosses because of some new formatting limitations.
And are we really only limited to 3 pictures now ? Sorry if I missed something.)

Oh no...

I don't know what you are doing, but every time this side was down it is not possible to download a mod.
Pictures are not displayed, when starting a download the page can not be displayed.
Can you please fix this bug. It would be nice to have a chance to download mods for more then only a few minutes.
