Hi again,

A big THANK YOU to the WoW-UI team  Lots of stuff has been fixed. You are doing a great job, and yes, it does look much better then ever before.

Nevertheless there are a few things that apparently could deserve attention and improvement:

uploading of AddOn BETA versions appears to be broken, I have to wait eternally but nothing really happens after clicking "Save"
I still can not see where to enter or set the AddOn localization options
what happened to the additional AddOn files ? I thought about using this for storing the BETA, but they're gone
"Top Mods" certainly is not working the way it used to work. WoW-UI used to have a clever algorithm for calculating AddOn rating. This does not appear to be used.
the "Award" appears to have been hit by a shrink rays, took me a while to find it after reading it should be there (okay, okay, so its the only award I ever got, and I'm so proud that it makes me sad to see it this small)
the old way of showing BETA versions on the home page without having to click a TAB gave them more direct attention (which they deserve and need)
The home page used to show for updated mods and packages what languages they are localised to. For me this was always very important to know because I use the German WoW client. This info is gone.

Thanks for the feedback Skeeve.

1. Beta uploads issue I will check into and see what the issue is,
2. Localisation options field should go in tomorrow.
3. Additoinal addon files was a tough one. We found hardly anyone used them so left it out of this phase of deelopment. We may add these back in.
4. THe top mods system has changed yes but thats because we have made the voting system fairer and relative unlike the previous system.
5. Award Icon is going back to the cool nice shiny one, I just need 20 mins to do that :)
6. The problem with the old Beta system was it was confusing on the page. Keeping in a tab means it is all neater and tidier on the mod pages. It's not set in stone though so things may still change.
7, Localised listings on updated can easily be added in and I will do that.

Hi Rushster,

Thanks for looking into those issues.

>> Beta uploads issue I will check into and see what the issue is

I was totally shocked when I looked at my AddOn page just now and saw that the BETA is actually there  The effect I observed yesterday is that after clicking "Save" the "Update" page went into loading mode with Firefox showing the "I am Busy Loading" smybol, and this "Busy" state never ended.

Actually when I went to my page I didnt even see the BETA. Then I read a comment from a user saying "I tried your BETA", and I was thinking like "WOah ... what beta ?". Then I went looking for it using the basic approach of "It must be around here somewhere" .... and finally found it as a TAB next to the Patch Notes :duh:

>> Additoinal addon files was a tough one

Look like BETA versions now work (more or less) so I dont need them. Just noticed that the disappeared. Although I did notice that several AddOns used them for offering plugings or extras.

I'd say this system for the Beta versions is much better than the old one :)

Hi again,

Now I found out, why yesterday I totally failed to notice that the BETA of MobInfo got accepted. I kept checking the TAB for "Beta Mods" on the main page, but it never appeared, not even today. Nevertheless the site has accepted my BETA and offers it for download on my page. It looks like the "Beta Mods" does not update properly. The newest beta in there is given as "13 days old".

Oh and I updated my BETA just now : The "Edit Mod" page still goes into an endless "Loading...." state after clicking the "Save" button.

[Edit] Its now some 10 minutes later and my new beta ("Beta 03") still has not appeared on the MobInfo page in the "Beta" TAB. If it actually will appear at some time in the future then it sure takes veeeeeery long.

Hi,

After waiting a loooong time for my updated "Beta" I actually got an error message from the site:

Whats even funnier : the new beta version "BETA 03" is now being shown on the site.
