Audible Alert for Mining/Herb/Quest Turn In's

I would really like to stop staring at my mini-map! The scenery in WOW is so beautiful, couldn't there be an audible sound when a yellow dot appears on my mini map? :wave:

I would love that too, but I don't think it's possible.

I am not an expert mod author ... but the way I see it, it's not possible.

Maybe an expert can put some light on it.

No event is fired when a node appears so it's impossible to detect.

It is possible, actually, but considering how it is very roundabout and error prone way I don't see anybody actually making such addon anytime soon.

(For those who interested: spawn minimum sized minimap under cursor, parse tooltip, if it matches node name - beep, hide map).

This would be such a good idea for people that hate staring at the little screen, I hope a author can make something for this. I say we bump this thread till someone that can make it sees it and decides to make action.

That is unadvisable. Last I checked "Bumping" and spamming is very much frowned upon here and could wind up having the thread locked and accounts suspended/banned.

The UI forum doesn't move very fast, so post something once, post it well, and if it is worthy of a reply, and somebody with knowledge can help, then it will be responded to.
