View Full Version : Cannot update profile & Pal benefits

When I try to update my class or set how many news items I see on the front page, my profile does not ge updated. When I press update the browser shows a blank page, even when done loading. The url looks like it is the url for my profile. When I press reload I am asked to resubmit info by IE, and the same thing happens. IE7 on XP.
I recently reenabled my Pal UI subscription, but it does not show up on the UI site (sill see adds, profile page says I have no subscription). When I go to the forums I can see from my CP that the subscription is enabled, and I can access Pal forums and so on.

Hi IdaWW, thanks very much for the report.
The profile issue you mention is a known bug which is due to be fixed within 72 hours, hopefully much sooner. If I am correct the e-mail field in your profile is showing as blank? If you put an e-mail address in there the problem should go away. If that isn't the case, please let me know.
It also looks like the new Pal subscriptions aren't being copied over to the UI site correctly, meaning the forums will think you're subscribed but that isn't reflected in the actual site. We will aim to fix this within the next few days - can't really give you any more of a timescale than that, as I am not currently sure how deep the problem goes.

Thanks for the update!
My email is actually not blank, I had my email input on the old site and it carried over. The PayPal email field is blank.
Keep up the great work on the site, I think it looks really good. :thumbsup:

Thanks! Just out of interest if you add a PayPal e-mail address does that solve the problem?
If not can you tell me what e-mail you have entered into the box?

FYI I've fixed that now, you can remove your PayPal email and it should start working again.
