I'm looking for a low-memory, simple timer for crowd control effects (sheep, sap, sleep...). I've tried a couple of mods that used way too much memory and tracked much more than I needed, no matter how much I sat disabling (debuffs on me, buffs, debuff effects on mobs, hots, etc etc etc).

Can someone please link me to a simple and effective mod for CC?

I've tried a couple of mods that used way too much memoryDid they actually slow things down? People tend to obsess over memory use and a lot of the time it really has no impact. Chronometer does this stuff I think but probably is one of the ones you're talking about as it provides timers for a lot of different things as far as I know.

You could blacklist and whitelist certain spells, more work then it should be currently.

I use CCBreakWarner and FocusFrame for CC management, myself. It doesn't give you a timer per-se but I find I like this way better. I set my CC target = focus and then can see my sheep spell with the timer animation icon, plus when the sheep _actually_ breaks I get a warning from CCBreakwarner. I used to use some of the other timer mods but found the timers too unreliable.

Good idea. Could use the shackle macro I have to set target as focus then cast, and just watch it. Interesting.

I'm going to try the CC and FocusFrame idea, thanks!

This works great. Much more effective than the timers I'd tried.

Cheers!

Personally (coming a bit late to this one), I'm a huge fan of Soren's Timers. This one mod provides timers for abilities on my hunter, warrior and shammy- great stuff. It's pure gold for timing the laying of traps to always have one cooled and so forth.
