I have a very good spec laptop...except the graphics card!

It is an Intel 915 Gm/Gml express, and, to be blunt, it sucks.
It managed to run Fable:The lost chapters...so I'm hoping it'll run Wow...anyone have that graphics card or anything?

Please help, I've wanted World of warcraft for a while now...and I can finally afford it...and it might not run...aaaaargh! =)

Blood Daemon (planned name of my Warlock character on Wow)

Very unlikely, that's a cheap onboard solution. The graphics aren't too much better than Fable but it's rare to find an onboard solution that runs WoW at any playable framerate.

(Insert word that would get me banned here)

EDIT: Is there anyway I could test this without wasting my money? As an example, could I install my friend's world of warcraft, sign on, and see if it works?

Thanks!

Yup, you can get a ten day free trial here for Us customers:
https://signup.worldofwarcraft.com/trial/10dayfreetrial.htm
Or here for EU customers:
http://teaser.wow-europe.com/
(EU use a horrible Flash site for the trial offer.)
Then you can either use a friend's CD or download the entire client, it should be linked during the trial sign-up process.
Also make sure you put your friend down as a referal if it asks you, he'll get 1 month free if you decide to keep playing :) .

I went through the process on the EU one...but when it said "Click on the create account button to create an account" There was no "Create account" button =(

Would it be "illegal" for someone to create an account for me? Or to use my friend's account? Just so I can check if it works =S

Thanks for all your help!

Well as long as your friend gives your permission you could login with his, just to test it anyway :) .

Thanks very much, as we are "best mates", we generally trust each other with everything...I'm not going to run around deleting all his characters and disenchanting all his stuff =)

He's moving right across the road from me in 2 weeks so I can do that then. As he has a level 64 I can play on that to make sure it can cope with lots of enemies...awesome effects on spells...etc.

Thanks!

Sounds like a good solution, good luck with it.
