You have to patch to the current version. You could always get your cousin to put them on a CD for you.

You will need to also buy World of Warcraft in addition to buying The Burning Crusade.

Then inorder to actually play you will need to patch to the current 2.2 version, on dial up this will take some time. Hours maybe.

well i would but me cousin lives aways awayThis is why we invented the postal system  .
but ur saying if i buy bc i have to play bc???No matter whether you own TBC or not, it will still patch to the current version (2.2.0 at the moment). You won't be able to access the additional TBC content but your client version still has to match because a lot of the changes in the patches since TBC have launched are changes that apply to the old lands, quests, items, and to class abilities and talents in general.

In short, you can buy original 'plain' WoW and play that fine without TBC but you'll still have to patch up to 2.2.0. At a rough estimate you're looking at around 600MB download I think (should fit on a CD fine).

What region?
Filefront carries most of the patches.
Easiest thing to do would have been to just download the single 1.12 full patch which will take you from any version straight up to 1.12.
You can pretty much Google "wow 1.10.1" or similar and find any patch you need.

Before you spend your cash... can anybody here offer information on whether WoW is currently actually playable over dialup? I believe that the system requirements were quietly raised with the release of the expansion so that it isn't officially supported.
