If you bid on something, and later decide to do a buy out. What happens to the original gold used for the bid?

Do you get it back or does it go to the seller as well.

I ask because I did this and didn't get my bid back. :(

You should get it back as you would show up as being outbid. Quick question, would getting outbid on something take an hour as well, like when the seller, gets there money an hour later?

It's actually a very good question as I have noticed this as well. If I bid on something and then do a buyout on that item the money that was taken out for the bid never gets returned to my mailbox. I was wondering what happened to the money also.

I was going to run some tests on this but didn't have time last night. I will do so tonight - I want to see if it just takes out enough coin to make up the difference because you sure don't get your original bid back.

The difference between your bid and buyout gets deducted from your current funds, rather than the full buyout cost.
