Why am I getting 4 email alerts in 30 min. for the same addon mobinfo 3.44?

Hi Dixon,

Erm ... you see ... its my fault :embarassed:

Do not blame the site or Rushster. MobInfo 3.44 was a very unlucky release. It kept producing nasty errors in unexpected places. I tried to fix the errors quickly by uploading fixed versions of 3.44, which apparently caused the update notification SPAM.

I sincerely hope that we are now beyond this. Today I released a version 3.45 where I hope that all bugs have been fixed.

i have this problem but with alot of addons, not just this one. i thought it was just me. but now i think i know why it does it. i got like 5 for x-perl unitframes, for 2 different versions. i guess they were just trying to fix problems.

Yup, the panicked, speed updating of an author trying to fix the problem caused by the fix to a problem which was caused by a fix ............

Every time subsequent notification e-mails arrive within an hour of the first - you can hear the author banging their heads against their desks.

A feeling I know well from 3 NotesUNeed updates within an hour last week :tongue:

Got 4 emails for Pear Classic Unit Frames 2.09. 2@ 19:21, and 2@ 19:24.

If it's annoying you a lot I think the option is either to turn e-mail notifications off or ask you author not to update as often (not really an option).

Im pretty sure that the pearl classic author did not update 4 times in 2 min. I am not annoyed, just trying to help.

So today I get almost 1900 emails that Heal Points has an update. What is the problem?

Also there is over 1000 in my junk email folder. Please fix asap!

I beleave you, i get them all the time. Alest 2 for each new update
