cannot log in to my account

i just re-installed my windows XP, and re installed wow+tbc when im trying to log in on my acc its not working "connecting" and when i start up wow "cannot connect to the news server" i can use internet such as websites and forums... i have same problem trying to use ventrilo or MSN...
"cannot connect"... i tried to open ports in the firewall but nothing changed..
i dont know what the problem is... the patches aint beeing downloaded either... whould be awesome whith some help =/

i dont eaven get a message "unnable to connect" when im trying to log in to my account on wow.. just when i press connect and the text "connecting" shows, nothing more happening..

i have read the support FAQ but cant find something.. i have open ports in my firewall, turned off my antivirus program... now what to do! =( =(
