View Full Version : Good grinding place for a level 32 ally shaman?
Anyone knows of some good grinding places for a level 32 ally shaman? Have leveled up to level 32 without problems in duskwood, and that area seemed to low level for me so I tried Stranglethorn Vale. That place was overrun by hordes, I have tryed to grind there many times, but it have always ended up in being ganked by 2-3 hordes..
Also, I'm new to this forum. Hi I guess

Try 1K needles and especially shimmering flats.

1000 Needles has a major horde quest hub and there is no alliance hub nr Shimmering Flats apart from Gadget.
Try Desolace - Nijel's Point (quest hub) is in the North. You get a quest line to go there from one of the crypts in the SW Cathedral. That Q line leads to Scarlet Monastery.

Shimmering flats is IN 1k needles DM. You have to go over a mountain pass to get to Gadget which is in Tanaris (though this does provide a more convenient FP than the one in lower Feralas). The raceway in 1K needles IS also a huge quest hub.
That being said Desolace is also another good area for that level.
However the OP was asking for a grinding area not a quest hub. The raceway in shimmering flats is both. Not only that the turtles in shimmering flats drop some shells used for the wild leather quest lines and they sell for a LOT of cash on the AH.
Thanks for the help! I went to Thosand Needles, and I found myself playing for hours there with a friend. It was plenty of hordes there, but when they tried to kill us it usually ended up with me and my friend killing them. :)
Anyway, the done all the quests there, and the place has become slightly boring where should I level now? Is it a guide that says where I should level up?
Thanks :)

Jame's leveling guide is good - but it is designed for PVE so it will try to send you to STV. This is why leveling through PVP is so hard... your prime leveling spots are camped.
Desolace is good for the high 30's and after that getting groups to do SM rocks. Quest in Desolace actually leads you to Southshore and sets up the SM quest for you for a nice weapon.
Go ahead and try Jame's guide (just google for it) but be ready to search for some alternative grinding spots when it takes you in to areas that are just too heavily camped. If you look at the comments after the guide some of the other PVP realm players make suggestions on alternative grinding spots when certain parts of the guide are just too hard for PVP.

Mid-to-late 30s the Badlands provides a great grinding area with relatively low player traffic (as long as you zip past Uldaman).

Arathi Highlands... Alterac Mountains.... Swamp of Sorrows (mid-late 30s)

Sry it took a while to get back to check this thread.
@ Zendarin. I know Shimmering in IN 1K needles, that's why I mentioned the Horde quest hub. The OP mentioned that he was having problems from horde and I made the assumption that there would be plenty of Horde on Shimmering Flats due to the Hub. In the event, the OP managed to defend himself pretty well.
Desolace is also a grinding area as well as a Q hub, with the Satyrs in the NE dropping cloth and decent cash IIRC, and plenty of beasts to skin, and mining/herbing to be done too.

oic Ok, well mirage raceway is usually not very busy so is not too bad as far as a horde presence goes, and it is more ideally suited for low 30's. I agree that Desolace is an awesome place as well but is more geared to mid to high 30's and is usually prep for doing SM. Both good suggestions and I believe the OP took advantage of both of them so all is good
