Suppose we should kick off the usual thread, not been able to copy a charachter yet due to the flaky charachter copy page but anyway.

General


Griftah has moved back to Shattrah, he now sells the reagent for engineering mount and offers a quest to Zul'Aman
The Boat from Theramore to Menethil is now named "The Lady Mehley", with full scripted crew, cook, and vendors.
Human Racial has been change: Mace Specialization and Sword Specialization changed to provide 1% extra critical strike chance to 1h, 2h mace and swords.


Items


Spellhaste and Mystic Skyfire Diamond affect Evocation
Mystic Skyfire Diamond has a ~45sec hidden cooldown
Mystical Skyfire Diamond: Buff changed from 10 sec to 6 sec
Tier 5 Paladin Raiment set bonuses changed:
set: Your judgements grant 50 mana to your party
set: Your Flash of Light critical hits have a chance to reduce Holy Light's casting time by 0.50 seconds for 10 seconds. 1 minute cooldown


Hunter


Disarming shot, cost 6% base mana, cd 1 minute, range 35 yards. Disarms an opponent for 10 seconds.


Mage


Ritual of Refreshment: costs 1 portal rune, 5min cd, 50 charges, each charges gives 20 mana cookies


Raids and Instances


Tempest Keep now has its own music.
Zul'Aman event works as follows, you start a 20 minute cooldown by talking to a guy at entrance, you then have 20 minutes to kill the first boss. If you kill him within the time limit a prisoner is saved and opens a chest containing and additional loot, you then have 20 minutes countdown started to kill the second boss and so on. If you wipe while the timers going the boss wont respawn, if you fail one of the timer stages you can never get the extra loot from following bosses.

UI

Additional NPC tracking and symbols are availble for the minimap.

Just got my hunter to 10... the dots we see when tracking are different colors for humanoids, neutral beasts, etc. i don't have a gathering prof on that char so i don't know if those dots are still yellow or not.

my xfers are pending, when i can get my 70 over there i'll check all that out.

Latest changes:

General

* The video options menu has been redesigned.
* In Racial abilities, Weapon Expertise has replaced crit for Humans and Orcs
* The title "Champion of the Naaru" doesn't stack with PvP titles

PvP

* Completing the Mines objectives give your faction reinforcements in Alterac Valley

Graphical/UI

* Quest givers and objective NPCs now show up on your minimap as either a yellow "!" or "?"
* Classes now have their own colours on the Guild Roster page.
* Interactive items in the world, such as Mineral Veins or Herbs, now have a glow around them to make them more visible.

Professions

Mining

* The Primal and Mote versions of Fire and Earth can now be placed in Mining Bags

Enchanting

* The Primal and Mote versions of Water, Mana and Life can now be placed in Enchanting bags.

Engineering

* All Primals and Motes including Primal Nethers, can be placed in Engineering toolboxes.

JewelCrafting

* Mercurial Stone can now be placed in Gem Bags.

Mounts

* The purple glow around Netherdrakes now trail behind them as they move.

World Environment

* Taxi Boats and Zeppelins are now populated with NPC crews, soften including food and drink vendors, and repair vendors.
* The boat between Teldrassil and Darkshore that leads to the Feathermoon Stronghold is now a Night Elf ship instead of a Human one.

Sound

* The music in The Temple Of The Moon in Darnassuss has been changed.
* The "Sound at Character" is now on by default, and the option has been removed from sound settings.
* There is new music in Dwarven and Night Elf Inns.
* There are 14 new pieces of music inside Karazhan.

Items

* MSD Buff now lasts 5 seconds as opposed to 10 seconds.
* MSD now affects Evocation.
* The Twin Blades of Azzinoth now have a hidden cooldown of 45 seconds.
* Dartol's Rod of Transformation can no longer be cast when moving.

Instances

Black Temple: Shade of Akama

* Shade of Akama's adds do not cast the channeling spell to hold him in place, now, he just goes straight to Akama as soon as you engage him, and you can kill him in 20-30 secs (shortest boss encounter ever).

Hellfire Citadel : Heroic Ramparts

* The Vazruden/Nazan chest in Heroic Hellfire Ramparts is bugged.
If all the item rolls are decided and the chest becomes "empty", the chest despawns. People who didn't opened it before all the rolls got decided won't be able to loot their Badges of Justice.

Tempest Keep: Void Reaver

* Void Reaver now "lobs" his orbs instead of shooting them in a straight line. Makes them a tad harder to see.

Tempest Keep : Heroic Mechanar

* Same Problem as in HFC: HRamparts.

Classes

Druids

* Druids can decurse while in Tree form.

Hunters

* Dead zone has been removed. Hunters range is now 5-35 (41 with talents) yards.
* It seems that it is no longer possible for a Hunter to have Freezing trap applied to 2 or more targets at the same time.

Paladins

* Fanaticism doesn't reduce threat while Righteous Fury is active

Priests

* On-damaged effects, such as Prayer of Mending, will no longer proc on periodic damage that is absorbed.
* Shadow Priests can use costume effects while still in shadow form. Eg. Savory Deviate Delights

Mages

* Ice Block will no longer freeze players mid air.

Shamans

* T6 Restoration Shaman gear currently has no token cost. This issue is known to Blizzard and will be fixed very soon.
* The coefficient change on Chain Lightning/Lightning Bolt (as not to nerf Ele Shaman DPS).

Pre 2.3, there was no underside graphics for robes (such as when swimming you could see through your body to the water ahead of you). Now, no more peep show into the void!

Druid: There is now a sound associated with shifting OUT of a form, whereas in 2.2 you only made the requisite noise when shifting INTO your forms.

Realms are currently down for a hotfix, i'm guessing to fix the shammy t6 loots

Can anyone confirm the healthstone/potion thing and whether or not double-freezetrap has been nerfed. These things will have a major impact on 10-man raiding.

This also applies when you /who and get more results than will display in the chat box, causing the Social window to open.

So I guess the best way to phrase it would be "* Classes now have their own colours in the Social window lists."

Applies to Ore nodes as well, but only if you could normally interact with said item. Meaning, if you're a miner then herbs won't glow.


Game objects that you can interact with will now sparkle and display their name over the object to make them more obvious.

Healing Potion Injector (and I presume also the mana version) can now be used by anybody, including non-engineers.

We went Gruul and I remembered using HS then pot in succession without a cooldown.

The servers at US went down for 2 Hours maintenance. Before that I was able to get a group and do Heroic Underbog. I noticed two things ...

- It was HELL easy !!!
- Remember the adds that come up during the last boss fight. They usually stay when you kill the boss. But this time they disappeared as soon as the Boss was down.

My engineering flying mount is so cool. I didn't have the 5000 gold to learn the artisian so I did not bother to make the epic one. But because of this the Elemental Seaforium Charges are selling like mad at my server. I made a lot from someone before the patch and i just earned a lot of money through these :)

I am a human combat sword Rogue with Sword Specialization, and my Crit dropped by 0.6% (points) after this patch. Shouldn't it increase?

In BS tab : Rough grinding stone is listed under category "Metal and Stone", all the other stone stuff (sharpening stones, grinding stones) are listed under "Other".

"Essence of X" can now be placed in Enchanting bags. Things like Essence of Water, Essence of Undeath, etc.

Latest changes:

World Environment

* The boat between Teldrassil and Darkshore that leads to the Feathermoon Stronghold is now a Night Elf ship instead of a Human one.

Think you might want to check the details on this one, there's a boat between Rut'theran Village in Teldrassil and Auberdine in Darkshore, but Feathermoon Stronghold is on Sardor Isle in Feralas and is reached by a boat that circles the island, stopping at docks on the Feralas mainland and Feathermoon Stronghold. Anyways, pre-2.3 both boats were Human design, not had chance to check them yet but maybe both have changed to the Night Elf design?

In a similar vein as others have reported:

Primal/Motes of Life can now be placed in Herbalism bags.

Now if only they would finally give us a large herbalism bag ... maybe something that I could use all this primal mooncloth I have saved up on.

Also, to further clarify, ALL Primals, Motes and Essences (Including Primal Might) can be placed in the Enchanting Bag. My 28 slot Enchanting Bag has gone from almost empty and rather pointless, to overflowing.

EDIT: My initial assumption was wrong - Living Essence CANNOT be placed in Herbalism bags. Why? *shrug*

I've used healthstones (on a few characters) today and it did NOT trigger health potion cooldown!

Has anyone noticed the later ticks of Curse of Agony seem to do considerably more threat than they used to? I was way over my normal agro level in longer fights last night.

One thing I have noticed is that if you have any trinkets that you can use with cooldowns, once you use them, like i have one with 2 min CD, when I use them my other trinket get 10 sec CD with it.

And one of the documented changes is that you can place all of your primals in your engineering bag. Engineering bag is 20 slot bag. I was checking at other stuff in websites and I found that there is an Engineering bag of 28 slots. I think now is the right time that Engineers desperately needs that bag. My bags are full now :(

One thing I have noticed is that if you have any trinkets that you can use with cooldowns, once you use them, like i have one with 2 min CD, when I use them my other trinket get 10 sec CD with it.

Can't say I've found that. Perhaps it's specific trinkets?

This happened before the patch. I believe it happens if you have 2 trinkets that have the same type of "on use" bonus/buff. For instance, I have Vengeance of the Illidari and Glowing Crystal Insignia, both of which give +spell damage on use. Using one triggers a short CD on the other trinket.

Pet pathing is horribly broken right now. Last night in kara both my pets and the hunter's were unable to attack up ramps. They would run DOWN the ramp instead and agro things in the room behind us. If standing on flat ground with the target even 1 step up the ramp the pet just stands there unable to reach the target.

Tickets were sent but no response by the time I logged. With the volume of tickets they're probably getting I don't blame em.

Note: can we get the two undocumented changes threads merged or something posting in both is getting tiresome.

Interestingly, +heal and +dmg/heal trinkets don't share cooldowns like this.
Considering that the healing trinket Essence of the Martyr now offers more +dmg than the dmg trinket Glowing Crystal Insignia... well I now have both equipped sometimes. Not sure if the bonuses stack, but they don't cause mutual cooldowns.

Some trinkets share cooldowns, and some don't. The rhyme or reason has never been explained.. some* data mining sites (teh more famous ones) will give you a list of what trinkets share which cooldowns.

Minor change, but my mage likes it: Runes of portal/teleportation now stacks in lots of 20 (as opposed to 10 before 2.3)

Because, as far as I know, you can't get a Living Essence from herbing. Whereas Motes of Life, you can.

Never heard of 'Disarming Shot' for hunters. You may want to check your resources on this one. I believe them to be false as we would have seen a massive flood of tears from the warriors and rogues.

I thought that the 2.2 patch introduced a "Disarming Shot" for Hunters? I'm pretty sure there is one now. That's why melee should have some sort of "immunity" to disarm still (as was needed before).

I'd heard rumors about it, but nothing official, and it's not on the trainers at this time, so I think all it was was rumor/fake patch notes.
