hey everybody,

first time playing the game (I'm actually still in my 10 day free trial) but I have to say I'm loving it.

This is my char:

-Links fed to Fluffy

I've gotten my chops busted by friends for my apparently poor decision in selecting a character (Gnome Warrior) but hey, I'm stuck with it!

Anyway, how does your char look like?

I've edited out the links and sent this thread to the newcomer forum. As it's related to WoW, it doesn't belong in offtopic.

Nothing wrong with Gnome warriors... Escape Artist helps with those annoying roots. Ppl will constantly underestimate you

Gnomes are fine. Their dance is one of the best IMO lol

Here's a buddies gnome warrior - he was my last guilds MT (main tank).

A warrior probably isn't the easiest first toon to have, but it's certainly doable. It's an expensive class to run, since it's highly gear dependent, so you'll want to make sure you have a good income (suggest picking up two gathering professions if you haven't already). It's in high demand, especially at the upper levels, but it's not the easiest class to level up and solo.

And gnomes do get lost in tall grass -- plus it's a little disconcerting to fight very large monsters where you're fatally damaging their toes.

There's a cure for that. Be sure you take up fishing and cooking professions as well. Then, farm the mobs in Barrens until you get the recipe for Savory Deviate Delight (or buy on AH). Then fish up a good supply of deviate fish from the pools in the Barrens. I keep at least 1 stack of these on my gnome warlock all the time and I never get lost in the tall grass.

They are even good for a few laughs...for instance the time my friend and I grouped with a guy who needed help on a quest and he instructed my warlock (who happened to be in the ninja disguise) to... "sap the mob on the right". :ponder:
