Lol, when I hunter's mark a horde, it puts me into PVP mode. Sure potential attack. Same for sap!! STUN with potential attack!

What is good for hunter is good for rogue. Make it an attack!

If I am at Halaa in PVP mode, get sapped by non-PVP rogue! Should PUT THEM into PVP. Others can attack me when they stun, so make SAP an offensive motion.

Thanks

Very well. But then reduce the time of Hunter’s Mark to 10 seconds for players. It’s annoying to have to use a vanish to get rid of it.

Kugan thats two totally different conversations.

Sap is that way b/c you're stealthed - but I think that it should put them into a pvp active mode, so that if they did come out of stealth in the town, they would get jumped by NPC's. Now this would totally kill some kids entire days that they spend in BB, Area52, etc sapping people, but I do believe it should be treated like the offensive action that it is.

More to the point - if a rogue saps you and then you pop trinket and hit him back while you can still see him - you shouldn't be the one getting NPC aggro like you attacked him first. I mean, I love sapping ppl on my rogue in towns lol, but it's certainly not fare to them, or me on a different class. It should be put on the threat list in some fashion.

Edit: Ignore this. I was still living in a world where hunter's Mark made you unable to go into stealth. Was it ever like that, or am I just being stupid?

Not really. Hunter’s Mark is one of the most frustrating things you can throw at a Rogue. His choices are the following:
1) Use vanish (this costs money, and is on a 5 minute cooldown)
2) Continue without the ability to use stealth (yeah right).
3) Commit suicide.

Considering that sap is only 10 seconds, and Hunter’s Mark is two minutes, it is not really fair to compare the two.

But I won't mind if they change Hunter's Mark to not put you in combat. I won't even mind if they change sap to make the guards attack you (putting you in combat is a different story, which will have more far reaching effects). I just think it's a silly comparison.

Well my point is this, it's two different converstaions b/c a hunter cnn't throw a hunters mark on you in the middle of town without aggroing all the guards, you can sap the hunter without a guard even looking your way though, so I don't understand how the mark comes into play.

IMO for a hunters mark to even come into this conversation you'd have to be able to apply it in town, which you can't.

I'd be down, for the Mark not putting a hunter in combat, when you apply it to npcs it doesn't put you in combat, os why the reaction in towns Blizz? hmmm interesting actuallly

Usually I'm irritated when people don't answer my questions... this time I’m feeling pretty good about it :embarassed:. Thank you!

Wait hmm? lol What did I miss? Sorry I'm flipping around alot between work / web / and this forum . . .

Ohh the rogue question at the top (I think is what you're referring to) you can still stealth it just lets us see you while you're stealthed (people not in a group with us still can't see you). Vanishing removes the mark . . . or at least does most of the time . . I haven't been on my rogue in a little while.

@OP: If you are still around, what you want to do is reroll on a PvP server and then you won't have this problem.

Riiiight. Worst. Idea. Ever. Let's totally fsck up raid DPS to please whiney PvP rogues who want the moon on a stick.

Sorry, Kugan, you're way off the mark here (ahem) for once.

My point was to be silly to show how silly his comparison was..

And I did say against PvP targets. How will that affect raid DPS?

Oh, and I did call myself stupid already…
