What's the time period for respec costs to lower?

I've heard a month, but it's been less than two weeks since I respecced and I'd swear the cost has already dropped.

It's one month......and it drops 5g every month.....Maxes out at 50g and mins out at 10g once you surpass that.

My standard response: NOT SOON ENOUGH!

Seriously... This is just the tank-tax, if you ask me!

I`m fairly sure I`ve seen it drop within a month like Paterson. I usually spec PvP for weekends, and at some pint I hadn`t for a while and when I came back it had lowered itself to 45 gold. I`m not 100% sure about it, but I think it was just a couple of weeks.

Now here's a thread that has me totally stumped. Guess I'm really still a noobie, even tho I have a 42 hunter. "Respec?" Is that like reassigning talents? and why should the price go down? Okay, I'm obviously more of an idiot than the original poster. But I'd love to be enlightened. Thanx.

It might drop every month (and not a month after you’ve specced). In other words, if you respec a few days before the “scheduled drop time”, it will drop on that specific day, instead of a month later.

Don’t really know.

Some people "respec" constantly depending on their class.

Holy / Disc Priest will often respec Shadow to solo or to do some pvp or grind or solo quest etc for a time when they don't want to be their other spec. Same with Prot warriors etc., heck I even go BM for arena's versus the MM/Surv I like to do instances with.

This constant switching from say - holy to shadow every week or two can get costly when your respecs are 5-25 Gold everytime (not sure of cost cap but mine has been iirc 25 at most)

pergolesi - you have to pay gold to unlearn your talents so you can assign them differently.

xDark... 50g is the upper limit.

Kugan says, "It might drop every month (and not a month after you’ve specced)."

I understand why a character might want to change talent spec, and that it costs (wow) money, but what is this about price fluctuations? The quote above isn't very clear.

The price for respeccing goes up with each one that you do to a ceiling of 50g. If you don't respec for awhile, the price drops. The longer between respecs, the lower the price. It hits 50g, then drops to 45, then 40 etc. What Jpat is asking is what the interval between drops is

So... with that being said... I'm a hunter... not sure exactly what I'm doing... so spec however i want, get myself leveled and respec when it counts? How do you respec? whens the first time you can do it?

Talk to your class trainers in the capital cities to respec. To be honest, there shouldn't really be any reason to respect under level 20 unless you feel you REALLY screwed up.

Right, essentially I wanted to make sure I wasn't getting locked into my choices because like I said, I don't know what the hell I'm doing. As long as I can modify later to a build that actually makes sense and works that'd be perfect. Because even now, the builds I see confuse me because I don't know where to find that skill tree in the game and what not so...

Thanks :D!

Not just tanks. My shammy would dearly love to go enhancement between raids- I have DPS gear that would make kittens cry, and killing as resto isn't the most exciting thing ever- once you've seen mobs go down in a couple of seconds, everything else seems like an imposition :-)
