New account = new cd??

I'd like to buy a new WoW account. I'm just wondering if I NEED a new CD (instead of SUPPOSED to have a new CD).

You just need a new CD-key and one of the few ways to get those is by buying a new set of cd's at the store.

Install wise, the cd's you got now or the trial account are enough.

What about using the CD-key from a trial account with my full version CD's.

Also, how many other ways are there to get CD-keys other than from buying them from a store?

Trial key will only get you 10 days of play. Then you need to put in a real cd key. The only other legal way to get a cd key is to buy it online from Blizzard.

What about using the CD-key from a trial account with my full version CD's.This works fine. There is no trial install of WoW, you have to have the full game installed. The "trial" download version is literally the full client, identical to the one on your CDs except it will usually include the most recent major patch. There is nothing special or unique about any copy of the WoW in terms of the software, whether it's a CD version, a DVD version, a version you got free with a magazine, or a downloaded "trial" version. The only thing that determines whether you can play is a CD-key, which you can get from:

Buying a box in you local store or from an online retailer.
Buying it direct from Blizzard (some regions only, check the official site in your region for details).

I can't see any way to buy a cd-key online. You can do this for the expansion pack but maybe not for the original game?

Technically since you have the CDs, you could buy the downloadable version from Blizzard's online store, take the CD key and just not download the software, since you already have it.
