Hello everyone. Hope this doesn't hurt, but I have been playing UO for awhile now and looking for other fun games... Yes I know it is not the best game but I very much enjoy playing it, and have meet several friends. I will still be playing UO, but just looking to try out WoW..

Yes I am new and looking around on where to play. I live in W. Ky. and looking for a realm to play on. I'm not sure which one to pick. The bad thing is I don't have many friends that get on an play computer games. So any help would be nice for a start.

I do have to say I do like online games and making new friends in the game world. But I know there is alot of difference in WoW and UO. And any help in this would help me out alot an have alot of fun in this game..

thank you.
Brian

Here in Europe there is no recommended realms at the moment, don't know the situation in US but the easy solution is just to pick a "Recommended" realm from the realm list when you start the game.

Advantages for a Recommended realm is that there are plenty of new players on the realm and you will not have much difficulties finding groups in your lower levels as opposed to an old realm where most players are level 70 already.

You could also look in the guild forums in here and see if you can find a guild that fulfills your ambitions with the game and with people you think you can get along with and then roll on their realm (start by making a level 1 char and have a chat with one from the guild in-game first though).

the question is if you want horde or alliance side of course...

if you want horde, feel free to join zul'jin send me a message ingame mail to either nitsuj or rottentomato, and ill send ya a guild invite. there are a few members on this site that play on there, so its good fun.

Another KY person huh?

My wife and I are originally from Louisville (I went to WKU for a few years even) and moved to FLA about 10 years ago. "Jschild" (another poster here) grew up near Paducah (iirc) and now lives in Louisville. So, welcome!

Usually if you're starting out IMO it's best to go with a recommended realm ( I prefer pvp realms) as the recommended realm will have the most new players so that means you'll have more people to play and level up with.

This site and the main wow site were and still are the biggest help to me.

Here's a good place to start too if you're looking for general Info:

Welcome to WoW, you'll be leaving UO soon (or getting your friends to move over with you)
