Boosting for gear question! (not askin for 1)

Since when trying to get rare drops i instances for a twink character you may accidentally level past your brcket tyrign to get them all I wondered if this works... Never tested it... Enter the instance with a character who can solo it. Have the fist mob kill you. Remain dead while clears the instance an kills the boss you wanna loot. Res youself, walk to the corpse and loot it yourself. Woul that work or would you have ot be alive for the boss fight? :/ (kind newbish question, i know). XD

You have to be "in combat" to receive any credit for the kill. That includes loot drops.

Or get killed by the boss you need loot from, just make sure you get on his threat list, and you should be able to loot it.

1. get a warlock, a rezzer and 1 random
2. enter instance
3. let them kill the trash
4. let them summon you to the boss
5. get killed by boss
6. get rezzed
7. loot

Park your twink at the entrance to the instance. Go get your main. Clear trash with your buddy that is running you. Log back onto your twink before the boss kill and run up to near the boss and wait for your buddy to kill it and get the loot. No exp for your twink (except boss kill) and fast trash clear. Rinse and repeat.

Also if you're getting that close then the whole get on the threat list and die might be better for you.
