Character Expiration

Hey gUys, do your characters expire after a certain amount of disuse? I'm leaving for a year and won't be playing or keeping my account active.. will My toons disappear or will they be waiting for me when I re-activate my account?

My US accounts have not been paid for about 18 months and the characters are still there.

I belive they've stated that they'll keep them for at least six months, but at the current time they're kept indefinetly.
