I assumed Blood elf druid was in reference to that movie that was out recently... can't recall the name, but the character in the movie was trying to talk to a girl, and his opener was something along the lines of "I have a lv 40 blood elf Druid in World of Warcraft"... The girl character in the movie replied something along lines of "what!" giving the impression that she wasn't impressed....

I seem to remember a refrence to WOW in stargate atlantis twice in two other episodes.
one was a refrence to the danm human forest i hate so much near gold shire. and the other was about a character named Dr.Weir trying to buy some time (while other charaters was trying to put their name on a list so they could steal a jummper.) With the same chartacter who made the refrence to wow about the forest and he was braggin about is charater.... lol i would to if i had a high level charater.......

Oh yes, ever since the US government cut back on thier funding, the SGC has resorted to other methods to explore new worlds. I mean, do you know how much it costs the power the gate? WoW was cheaper :grin:

Blood Elves aren't attuned to nature like their Night Elf Cousins are. This is one of the reasons why I frown upon the option for a BE Hunter. Sure, they're pretty cool...just not ethical.

I don't think Blood Elves should be Druids imo.

BUT they do look nice in the high elf Druid Armor (yes, I inspected...*sigh*)

According to the lore that I was told about night elves are the naturistic ones and the blood elves are the magical ones. So this wouldn't work. It only works for the hippy races.

"magical" extends to nature magic too, in this situation. I think the term your searching for is "arcane".

There are two schools of magic: Divine and Arcane.

Divine is powers granted through prayer, worship, and devotion. A paladin or a priest for example, is a divine font. Meditation and practice are required to maintain these blessed powers. Druids are the basic expression of this relationship between worshipper and nature itself being the worshipped and granting gifts in return for thier alligance and honest following.

Arcane magic is much more destructive and easily aquirable. Arcane fonts are inherantly powerful, magical in thier own right. Arcane energy is something which can be transferred, stolen, or taken. It's more of a cheap and easy fix, demons crave it, and as the Blood Elves are addicted to magic as a race when thier Sunwell went kaput, they need a quick fix just like demons do. High Elves are the same species as Blood Elves, only they've managed to maintain thier powers, through ritual and prayer, the divine methods. Might not sound as fun, an hour's meditation a day, but it stops the cravings they were born with from devouring them.

There are Tauren Warlocks, just not playable (the Grimtotem clan)

i dont think its a matter of ethics. nor is it a matter of being atuned with nature in order to kill things.

and besides... Hunters do use mana, and they do have Arcane Shot.
