This is a follow up to my previous post regarding my permaban for accessing my account from Canada and Europe...

I sent off an email asking how it is ok for people to access their accounts from Afghanistan and the U.S. but not Canada and Holland? Kudos to whomever mentioned that in the previous thread.

They have not replied for almost a week now and I was about to phone them when I tried to log on to test it out. And bango I could log in and play!

This doesn't make sense. I get permabanned and then can still play? Are they waiting for my billing month to go by? Maybe they reinstated me but then why not email me stating this?

To make matters more odd. I tried to log in at wow webpage account management and could not log in. Saying the password was incorrect but I typed it forty times (or something) and then went back to playing the game! I thought my password is the same for both...

It is the same for both. But, today is maintenance day, so logins may act a little funky.

Gratz on getting to play again, perseverance wins!

Good to hear you got your account back. I'd like to think to myself that Blizzard recognized a fault on their part and didn't want to apologize in addition to walking away with their tail between their legs, but most likely they just saw that it was a wrong reason for being banned and unbanned you. Hope it isn't a mistake of some sort and that you continue to play WoW, no matter what country.

Possibilities.
a) Check your spam filters, could be that the mail got stuck there. This sort of stuff, to my knowledge, they always send a response e-mail when reversing decisions.

b) You weren't so much as permabanned as suspended. Suspension was up, you got to log in again.

c) As mentioned, it's maintenance day, hence why account management could've been loopy..

d) Something completely unexpected, like the Spanish Inquisition.

"NOBODY expects the Spanish Inquisition!
Our chief weapon is surprise...surprise and fear...fear and surprise.... Our two weapons are fear and surprise...and ruthless efficiency.... Our *three* weapons are fear, surprise, and ruthless efficiency...and an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope.... Our *four*...no... *Amongst* our weapons.... Amongst our weaponry...are such elements as fear, surprise.... I'll come in again."

Good to hear you can play again....

Hmmm, this is worrying. I'm about to open up my US account again (I live in Europe) and of course my payment details are based in the US but I'm clearly not logging on from the US!

This shouldn't matter as long as you don't log in from connections on different continents within 48 hours. People play WoW from different countries all the time; they only run into problems when they travel.

If you really want to be safe I'm sure Blizzard has some system to change your address, but since it's NA to EU they might not like it.
