Macro - use item, emote, target last

Hey, wondering if someone has a clue on how to either do what I'd like this macro to do, or if that's not possible, help me refine my macro. I'd like to use Archmage Vargoth's Staff, target him, nod at him, target last target, cackle maniacally at my last target.

Anyway, it takes a sec before he appears, so this won't work:

/use Archmage Vargoth's Staff
/target Image of Archmage Vargoth
/nod
/targetlasttarget
/cackle

Then I figured I could perhaps do something like:

/use [nomodifier]Archmage Vargoth's Staff
/target [modifier:alt]Image of Archmage Vargoth
[modifier:alt]/nod
[modifier:alt]/targetlasttarget
[modifier:alt]/cackle

- nah, that leaves me with saying the three last lines.

Any ideas? Thanks.

since you cannot implement time delays in macros, i think the best thing would be to do 2 macros.

Not 100% sure (and can't test at work), but try switching it around:


/use [nomodifier]Archmage Vargoth's Staff
/target [modifier:alt]Image of Archmage Vargoth
/nod [modifier:alt]
/targetlasttarget [modifier:alt]
/cackle [modifier:alt]

Thanks guys - I've set up two macros now for it. Switching it around didn't work, gah :)

This should work:

/use [modifier:alt] Archmage Vargoth's Staff
/stopmacro [modifier:alt]
/target Image of Archmage Vargoth
/nod
/targetlasttarget
/cackle

Hold alt and click the macro to summon the image, then release alt and click again to nod and cackle.

No good, that will perform the last four lines regardless of whether alt is held or not (though the /target will fail of course)
