I read this, and hilarity ensued. It is a link to the officials, slightly mature content but nothing I would think that would warrant attention. I have a fairly dry sense of humor, and don't get really lol hard often but this did the trick.

It was an analogy. My wife doesn't get the humor of Monty Python, you don't get the humor on that post. It's ok, we are not going to stone you for it.

btw I am guilty as well... I don't understand the humor of Adam Sandler's early movies and thought they were stupid. Since then he has done much better - 50 first dates was hilarious and Wedding Singer was pretty good too - but that early stuff... eesh. Yet... the teens I know loved that early stuff. I don't get it.

I think you have to know someone like happy gilmore IRL to get it, someone who has so much rage they will just go off on a moments notice, but otherwise are a nice person..

The top level of my brain understands that this is hopefully a joke but the subconscious layers (probably the ones connected to the ovaries) are screaming that this person is a total jerk and should be beaten to death with his own arm possibly after some grievous harm has befallen his boy parts .... possibly involving well trained ferrets and copious amounts of salt.

I didn't find it at all funny...

Well first off, he has rolled a horde toon on the same server as his alliance toon(s), which would require another account (right?). Most people don't have more than one account. [not saying there's no one with more than one account, just pointing out that this is more than likely fiction]

That last sentence was the punchline, which was my favourite bit. I don't see how anyone can take this seriously. It sure as heck doesn't sound like a serious post. Nicely crafted, complete with bad spelling and grammar.

Only if it is a PvP server does that matter. And, you *can* PvP on a Normal server. The difference between the two servers is voluntary vs. involuntary PvP is all.

I'm not taking it seriously, personally. It looks like someone trying to be funny, but at least for me, totally and completely failed at it. I just plain don't see how there's any humor in it. It is boring, dull, and comes off a bit whiny more than anything.

you need to frequent the official forums only a few weeks to begin to recognize these posts as what they are--trolls. I'm 99% certain that this guy just made up a story to get a laugh. I mean, seriously...read some of that phrasing. Even if he is a roleplayer, it doesn't excuse the comical nature of most of the phrasing in the post. It's funny, yes. But I think it's equally as entertaining to see how many people take it seriously. Nothing to see here, move on.
