no map in metamap

Another puzzler for me.

Just installed Matamap. I get the icon on the the little world map at top left of screen so it's loaded,

When I left click to get the map to show (as it says to do) I hear the crackling paper sound but get no map displayed.

Anyone seen this problem before?

Its the updated version ? BTW i would use Cartographer instead of MetaMap ;D
