I'm a lvl 44 hunter and I like to solo but I'm up for dungeons when I have the time. Dungeons tend to require 2 or 3 hours of undivided attention, something that isn't always easy for me. So I'm leveling up working on quests and getting help from time to time on an ad hoc basis. I accept lots of quests and now I find that I have about 15 quests in my quest log and 13 are dungeons. I'm having trouble finding regular quests for my level. Any suggestions? Thanx...

Well, it would help if you tell us whether you are Horde or Alliance, and which area(s) you already have quests for.

Get run throughs by higher levels and do /follow?
Works for me on my alts :)

I'm Alliance, and I've been through Stranglethorn Vale, Arathi Highlands, and Tenaris and lately I've been working on Hinterlands and have completed several quests there. I did one in Feralis. I've tried to do all the quests in those areas that can be solo'd and tried to get help with some of the more difficult ones.
I'm not sure what you mean as run throughs, but I have a hunter leveling guide which has been useful. I am not inclined to follow his detailed program to the letter, however, because I like to discover stuff for myself. And could you explain /follow? I don't know about that one.
Thanx for the input

He means that you should be able to do the dungeon quests by getting a high level to run ("boost") you through. "/follow" when targeting a character puts your toon in follow mode, which means it will follow that character automatically until you cancel it out by pressing one of the movement buttons yourself. Call it an autorun with directions, if you may.
This practice however is in my opinion extremely boring. Personally I only ask for run throughs to get a certain piece of equipment that drops in an instance, or if I have one or two quests still lying around after I ran the place a few times. And even then I will only ask a guildmate. Apart from that, most high levels are annoyed if you ask for a run and then just follow and loot without contributing anything - I know I am when I run a guildmate.
Back to the topic, you might be able to find some quests in Badlands, and when you got some more levels you might find more to do in Feralas as well.

Either I get my husband's level 70 warlock to rush me through, or I skip them. But that's because I have already done all of them the "normal" way at one point or another, and see no reason to re-invent that wheel. However, it's not the most interesting way to see them if you have never done them before.
I have great memories of finding some of our best friends in game by grouping with them in Scarlet Monastery. Later, we were among the founding members of our current guild.

After I exhausted Feralas, I went on to Searing Gorge then to the Crater. Those all served me well until 50. Like you, I ended up with a large amount of quests for Sunken Temple. I did one run and got them all taken care of.

I have always found 40-50 to be terrible. My alts always fly through to 35 and then slow down to a crawl by 40. I always tend to put off my dungeon/group quests as I don't have a regular play partner and my guild is mainly US players who aren't online when I am as an aussie.
My suggestion are:
*General non dungeon group quests (ie kill a named elite mob) try a general chat lfg. You will normally find a few people in your zone who need that same quest.
*Dungeon quests have a look at wowdigger and get all the quests available for a particular instance then beg/borrow a boost from a guild mate. That way you clear a heap of quests at once, get good XP from mobs and you might be lucky enough to get some gear upgrades as well.
*General quests 40-54 zones are Badlands 40-44, Dustwallow Marsh 40-49,Tanaris 40-49, Feralas 40-49, The Hinterlands 40-49, Searing Gorge 45-54 and Azshara 45-54.

If it helps, I started in Un'goro Crater at 44 and Hinterlands at 42 with my rogue and those held me until 52

Especially if at least one of those quests involves turning in the head of a vanquished boss.. ahem..

I have found some new and intersting quests in Feralas and Feathermoon. A bit of research has turned up some non-obvious possibilities for me in the form of leveling guids.
Now my question is, what is the best way to get together a group to do the dungeons that are filling up my quest log. How do you assemble, or sign up for a dungeon? I have been invited by personal friends at times, but here are 6 quests in my log for x dungeon I want to do, and what do I do? I am a member of a guild so do I just broadcast on guild chat? I the LFG channel (i) effective? Or do I just announce on general chat channel? How long do I have to wait?

The first thing you want to do is make sure that you have looked up the quests that you need to do so that you know what needs to be done. I think I managed to get into Uldaman 3 times before I completed any quests, and only after I looked them up so we didn't skip over them. Also, sometimes quest chains require multiple trips, going further into the dungeon each time. In some cases, these "easier" first steps can be done with just a partial group. In the Uldaman case, I solod the first couple steps of the Necklace quest. (I ended up just running to the pally corpse fearing along the way. I turned in the quest and got the new one just as I died.) So, when I found a full group I could do the parts that were deeper in the dungeon.
It also helps if you've looked up info on the bosses so you know what to expect. I'll admit, I've run more than one dungeon blind, but it's frustrating if you don't have someone who is familar with the dungeon and knows how to communicate the info. (I had a very unfun experience in Black Rock Depths recently due to a lack of communication from the person who was most familiar with the dungeon.) I always look it up if I'm planning to run it, but I'll often get asked to heal stuff, when I haven't had a chance to look stuff up. (In the case of BRD, I was already in Outland and had planned to skip the dungeon.)
So, now that you are actually ready for the dungeon, you need to find a group. Right now the guild I'm in has several people at the same general level I'm at, so it's easy. If your guild has a lot of people your level, try there first.
Before I was in this guild, I would start by asking my friends. Then, I could find out if they know anyone who could fill the holes we still had in our group. If that failed, I use the looking for group tool (at least on my server, the LFG chat channel is completely worthless.) Do not check automatically add members in the LFG tool, though. You will end up with a minimum level mage looking for twink gear or something along those lines. Check out the other people currently looking for a group, and if there are any fits, whisper them. You can also put up a message in the general channel for the zone, but I've had no luck with that.
Finally, if you are desperate, you can "cold call" people. If you need a tank, head over to the who panel type warrior in the search field, and look for someone of the right level. (Don't bug someone inside an instance, though, ever. Also don't bug people in the battlegrounds. That one really annoys me. They are busy and you waste everyone's time by asking. Look for people in a major city first, then people in areas near the dungeon you want to do.) Then whisper them. Using complete sentences and being polite will go a long way. I automatically turn down whipsers along the lines of "ST?" I also am not to fond of the people who start with "Are you holy?" If you are looking for that tank, ask something along the lines of "Hello, I was wondering if you would like to tank ST for us?" If they say no, just respond back with something like "Okay, no problem, thanks for taking the time to respond." (This is important. The people who are nice when I say no to them are a lot more likely to have me say yes the next time they ask me.) A lot of people will turn you down, but eventually you will find someone who has a bunch of those quests in their log bugging the heck out of them, too.

Feralas make sure you get out to Feathermoon Fortress as there are a BUNCH of quests there. Hinterlands and Tanaris are the other places to focus.

I remember finding that island town for the first time, I was like WOW! and then I tried to swim back to shore instead of waiting on the boat . . . skull lobster mobs FTL lol. That goblin near the boardwalk there has some quests too (don't forget to shrink the elites first lol)
