Blizzard stated that you'll need less XP to level - does anyone have a list of new values needed ?

And, futhermore, if you exceed that xp at the time of the patch, will you automatically level or will you sit @ 99% of the level ?

the level progress when the implement 2.3 will be based on percentage.

So if you a 75% toward your next level, you'll still be 75% towards it, just the xp amount will be less.

Not a twink persay. Just a troll shaman with Kang the Decapitator.
I don't enjoy leveling him and figured I'd get him a bit of decent kit (can't gear him up fully... don't have the room to farm Mara). Will have a bit of leeway with finishing a quest line, so that's all good. However, if it'd get reduced by 20%, I'd be 6k short of dinging (if it isn't %based of level progress), which is a bit too close for comfort without knowing stuff in advance =)

There's a few good sides to him (one-shotting a Gnome Mage being a definite highlight as well as seeing Lifestealing proc twice in a single Windfury), so it'd be a waste to not beef him up a bit, but other than that...

Read about 20% less - don't have solid numbers.

I don't have a list, but know that the total xp required to advance from the level one of alts is at (43ish) went down by more than 20%, and the quest xp for at least two of the completed quests I turned in on the test server was 20+% greater than what was on the live server.

It will be much easier to level.

I thought it was level 20 that they were going to lower the XP.

i read, 20-60 will require less XP, but 30-60 quests will give more XP

I think this is what I read also.

Of course, level 20 is achieved in less than 20 hours...Level 30 might be 40ish hours...

So, we might shave a day+ off of Joana's time, but not likely two or more days....(I could be wrong, of course)

Read the patch notes ...

The amount of experience needed to gain a level has been decreased between levels 20 and 60. In addition, the amount of experience granted by quests has been increased between levels 30 and 60.

And, I experienced the 20+% less xp required to level (for the level I was on), and 20+% greater xp per quest, on the test server.

Not sure which percentages went live.
