A large percentage are MM and some are BM.

Check here: http://www.geekboys.org/arena/index/2/us/hunter/all/all/

for top arena hunters and compair stats, build, gear.

I've been MM, BM, and a mix, I was just asking about wyvern in the hunter forum, just seeing something different. So far, BM has worked best for me. With the upcoming buffs, I'll probably go back to BM from a recent MM change. There's a good build utilizing a scorpian, imp stings, etc in the official wow forum's hunter section.

Check his spec, he's probably the best 2v2 hunter in the world (his team has dropped a fair bit since he get a new priest though).

from what I understand, the only suitable partner for a hunter is a priest--IF you want to be really good. The hunter has 2 primary weaknesses in arena. Line of Sight Mechanics and mana dependency. There's not much a that you can do to help with line of sight mechanics, currently. However, a priest can help with the hunter's mana dependency, as I see it.

A hunter is forced to use large amounts of mana in order to stay at range...especially if there are 2 mobs attacking him. The priest can remove roots to allow him to kite more effectively for the mana cost...and MOST importantly, a priest can mana burn opposing healers (primarily paladins and druids) in order to shorten the match, and make the hunter's dependency less of an issue.

I did the Arena with a hunter friend of mine. ( Me mage ) His spec was MM/Survival i think. The really good thing about this was that we had a fair bit of CC and survivability. We didn't really do very good but we had a lot of fun against equally geared teams because we could just kite them silly.

I was frost so we were hard to kill except if a very well geared warrior was in the play.

I am absolutely no expert on Hunters, but this hunter made it really fun to play arena with.

Ham is currently ranked 31st on this chart and 52nd currently (check that geekboy link above for almost current stats)

Snake is first by a few points: http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Burning+Blade&n=Snake

Yeah, I find the Int enchats interesting. . . I'm guessing for the extra mana and for more total Int for Careful Aim to utilize. Though math wise he'd get more AP from two Savagery . . .

Chook was top for months, stopped doing 2v2, then dropped a bit of rating with his new priest (his old priest was a dwarf).

I play warlock with hunter 2v2, and we do decent.. He has tried MM & BM.. and we did better with BM... Thats with him having absolutly CRAP gear... only 1 epic weapon Gyroblaster or somethign, but rest of his gear is blue/green.... He says MM is gear dependant and that he will be best with MM once he is epic'd out.

savagery is a 2h enchant....last time i checked...

he's getting 90ap as opposed to 70 from savagery

however since we last posted about him, he has changed to a 2h weapon, with a +35 agility enchant... merciless gladiator's decapitator which gives +84 ap, which if my math serves correct is more than 90ap overall

i think he'd be better off switching his boot enchant to +agility, and getting savage for his 2h...but thats my 2c
