Hi guys, since i moved on to casual WOW, i don't have so much time farming endlessly (crappy-est thing ever in a game). So i really get Blizzard's philosophy on earning items, yet I have a few questions:

1. Is it worth playing a battleground other than AV on its weekend?
2. After patch 2.3, i understood that an arena set item will be around 15.000 honor, is that correct?
3. After patch 2.3 I understood we will get daily quests for PVP, rewarding us with 4.000 honor or so?

Well if points 2 and 3 are correct, i find it rather great that i can get a set item a week without endless farming, actually allows me to enjoy the game at my own rate.

1) That will depend on how they have altered AV, its honour gain and how they have increased AB/WSG/EotS honour... on top of that, honour gained in a premade will always be more than when pugging.

2) Depends on the item and you'll need a couple of BG Marks as well, but 15-20k is the general mark.

3) There will be daily quests but blizzard stuffed up again and made it 400. I personally feel somewhere in the region of 1k would've been more appropriate.

OP - IMO - I always do AV no matter the weekend, though I do some others for marks / fun as well. Even when I've done some premades I seem to get more honor from AV then the other one. For instance, I ran an WSG premade last Call to Arms - took 15-20 mins - got 360ish honor (iirc) X 2 = 720honor for 40 mins. I then ran AV - got about 400+ per, and we won in 15 mins = 800+ honor in 30 mins. So for me and my battlegroup it seems AV is a better investment.

Yes, arena items will be around that cost. http://wow.incgamers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=406038

I personally feel somewhere in the region of 1k would've been more appropriate.

Same here, they really should make it more.

Daily honor seems fine, as I do it for fun when I do it but is there a financial incentive to it or just honor?

If you are farming honor points primarily, AV is where it is at. Unfortunately, some items need a large amount of marks from other BGs, too, so you still need to compliment those BGs in your plans. Typically on the weekend its scheduled on is best, as you queue up for new groups in a minute or less (no waiting is a good thing).

PvP hasn't been "financially" rewarding since they nerfed the loot drops in the BGs like they used to have -- especially in AV.

You used to at least get a green item, the occassional blue, the very rare epic, etc. Not every run, but I would say every run in five you'd see at least one of those items. I've yet to see anything other than a gray vendor trash item drop VERY rarely these days though.

I usually spend more on repairs than I make.

Just back from an AB, which we won as Alliance (!). It took about 15 minutes, and we gained 330 honor. But since it was also part of this day's daily quest, I was also rewarded with an additional 400 honor + 11 G and some change. Net honor from one AB today = 730. Not bad.

It all depends really. Typically if I put a custom together we will win AB in about 7-8 minutes & wsg in about the same time. Running AV is a 15 min minimum. If you can get a rocking custom you want to run whatever weekend it is. If you can not do that then you'll probably want to run AV. Though they are increasing honor gained in AB & WSG so that may change.

But then again in AB & WSG at times you come up against other customs and that's when the real fun starts. Those games can at times go on for over an hour.

Where are the quest givers for daily bg?

The one is Shatt is right next to the battlemasters....Turn on your quest tracker and it should show you were he is.

That might actually get me to do a bg or two every day, i need honor anyway.

I like it, and I like the new daily heroic. Blizz had some good ideas with this patch.

I'm not fond of za in the ghostlands.

AV can be amazing if played right. Today, I had two AVs in a role where people knew what they were doing, had about 480 reinforcement left, with some towers capped. Came out of there with about 600 honor, in 15 minutes. Not counting the honor from the daily bg.
