View Full Version : Cartographer yet again

Ever since 2.3 came out, I have not been able to get cartographer to work.

Basically this is how things unfolded on patch day.

servers come up with 2.3

1. Cartographer was faulty so I went to this site and downloaded the latest version.
2. after a little while it starts working.
3. Cartographer completely shuts down and has not ran since.

Troubleshooting:
1. completely stripped old version of Cartographer from Computer
2. installed new version (From 11-10-2007)
3. Failure no response
4.repeated above steps
5. Failure no response

6.made sure I had the right stuff installed I do.
7 Failure no response.

I am about to completely remove Cartographer from my computer. I have never had good results from it during the previous patch days (Even though all the other mods did just fine on patch days of the past and 2.3)

Any clues?

I don't use cartographer, but I would suggest that you try the UI forum where this type of problem is specifically addressed. You may find more help there.

maybe its unchecked from the addon menu where you select what character to play. I have cartographer and its been acting weird too. like when i hit 'm' to look at my map, it blacks out around the border of the screen where i used to be able to see...if any one has a suggestion for a better map addon, im all ears.

Mine too! It's driving me crazy! I hope it gets fixed.

Cartographer has been working fine for me, no problems at all.

Just wait a few days for CKKnight to properly update the Cartographer coding to work with the new patch. He has a lot of mods he has to keep up to date, so it takes a little time.

Just wait it out.

I updated mine via wowace and it works just fine, i used wowace updater to update all my addons before i logged in and my interface only had 1 broken mod.. a ct-mod.

I did the same thing with WAU, my cartographer was still messed up, but I know it will be fixed. maybe even today.

no probs with Cart.Auctioneer is not working atm tho.

You should always update Cartographer from Wowace, it's where the newest version can be found. Mine is working fine.

You posted this twice (please don't do that) so I merged them.

I have found that the addon enable/disable screen worked a bit differently with this patch.

In the past, I've always had to go in and turn "use outdated addons" back on after each patch.

This time after I did that, I found that all of the outdated addons had also been disabled in the main list, and I had to go through turning them back on.

I encountered the same thing. Had me confused for a few minutes until I realized what had happened.
