Ok, I hopped on one of my lvl 70 Reso shamens and I decided I would go do some AV to help out with the upcoming season 1 gear. So I see that the Alliance are coming close to Tower Point takeover. I rush over to Drek'Tar and I decide to go Defense. I turn in all of the blood I recieve, and all of the armor scrapps. I run over to heal for tower point and I see a hunter with a white bear staring at me.
I walk back a bit and watch him kill a guard. He completely regenerates before I am targeted. I recieve mark of the hunter. I run over to him and start laying down totems, they were accidently resto totems. I lay down my fire elemental totem. He gets pounded. He still has half health left. I summon my earth elemental totem. BOOM, 1/4 health. He scatter shots me making me dizzy. He starts releasing fire while the bear is pounding me.
I heal myself fully. Before you know it I cast earth shock, then flame shock, than Ice Shock. He is down to 2% health. He uses a health pot to go to 30% or something. He starts to back away. I look up and spot my whoppin 92% health. I use chain lightning and bring him down to around 5% health.
/beg
I use flame shock and he instantly dies. I look up at my health and its at 88%...
bad hunter? or really good shamen skillz?
Can we have an armory link for this "Reso Shamen"?
(Sounds like a noodle dish now that I think about it)
Oh, bad hunter.

They happen in PvP.
The 20minute cooldowns, I mean.
A decent hunter wouldn't have made nearly as big a fool out of himself.

"One" of your Resto Shamans?
You're a glutton for punishment, aren't you...
And yes, it was an unbelievably bad hunter. Don't go congratulating yourself.

Bad, bad, bad, bad, hunter. Alot of hunters have like forgot like how to play, it's been SOOOO long since I have been freeze trapped. I know that I can trinket out of it but, once the CD is down all they have to do is SS or FD and then trap me again and it's GG.

Bad Hunter? Can’t really tell.
My Nostromo sometimes falls to the ground, and then I have to click my spells. I don’t have all my spells on my toolbar, so I’m pretty limited in what I can use.
At other times my fiancé speaks to me in the middle of a battle. I then have to give him my “full attention”, just going through the motions of the fight.
So it’s really difficult to tell if it was a bad hunter from one fight, but entirely possible that it was.
Leet Shaman skillz? Well, if you have to ask on the forum because you killed one hunter… I would have to say: “No.”

that's old skool trap technique - traps can now be layed in combat and FDing doesn't allow you to drop another trap - they are on a 30 second timer.

IMO - almost any shammy @ 70 (especailly a resto) can heal through being attacked by melee or ranged (if the person is equally geared), spells are different as they are "critty". But unless the attacker has a stun or a silence and uses them at the exact right moment to prevent you from healing when they have you down low, or they're unsure about fighting shammies, they're probably gonna loose to you especially if you pull out your elemental.
If I had to choose, I'd say probably bad hunter or just a hunter with bad gear. I don't have issues with shammies like I used to, but a well geared one is still a pain. Learning to fight each class is key to pvp and some people jsut fight everyone the same - which doesn't work depending on your class. With over 10k health unbuffed and 277 resiliance I've sill had shammies 3 shot me (they weren't restro of course lol) but I have yet to understand the shammy QQ's about being underpowered - at least in PvP their burst can be amazing.

Thought the timer on traps was a little shorter than that. Even so that hunter still sounded like he was the poster child of a carebear trying to PvP.

Thought the timer on traps was a little shorter than that. You can increase the duration (through talents) or if you lay one early you can lay one almost seemingly after (to the person arriving and attacking you). Also there's a trinket and (iirc) a few pieces of gear that lowers the time between traps (the ZG trinket resets the cool down).

Can't remember if the survival talent resets um too, and i've fought hunters that are survival and they haven't trapped me twice.

He used a bear for pvp.
I rest my case.

Bad hunter.
Do you have much resilience? I find healer in resilience gear much harder to deal with now although the changed aimed shot helps a lot. Getting them to stand in range long enough to hit them with it is the main trouble.
