Away from my Wowputer atm, or else I would ask this in Trade Chat (God help me :banghead:)...

I started playing WoW two years ago, but have been away both New Years, what happens in WoW on New Years Eve? Any events (ingame, not just chat), do people countdown?

Just wondering :)

I checked the event calendar, but all there seems to be going on is some fireworks and kegs with free beer. Oh, and revelers around town. Meh.

I never seen it either, although I seen screenshots later with fireworks and stuff. Might see it this year though as we are probably home by the time the clock hits 12.

I don't think they put much effort in as they figure most people won't be in any fir condition to be playing wow :p

counting down to new years in wow is hard to do. everyone is in different time zones. never had much interest in WoW new years anyways - always been too drunk to play. :P

Maybe I'll make a party for EST people :)

Thats not a bad idea. Time zone parties on WoW.

... for some reason this feels geekier than it should.

Nope, pretty much the right amount of geekiness

Is there a measure instrument?

If so we would all be 10/10's

For some reason a drunken instance run seems in order.

And a naked battle of fists in the Arathi Highlands. BE THERE! :)

You speak as if there is any other way to run an instance in a satisfactory manner.
