Out of the classes paladin, warrior, hunter, and rogue, which one is the best tanker, or does the most damage.
And then wat race goes best with that class, preferably alliance, but i guess horde is ok too.

I think. I may be totally wrong, but I do this that hunters are the best of those. I like Tauren Hunters.

Both warriors and paladins can tank well (both are tanking classes). While all the classes can do damage and be used for that purpose, hunters and rogues are specialized damageclasses. The mechanics of doing damage with a hunter gets very complicated at 62 and up, and you'll have to put in a lot of effort (and reading) to perform as well or better than a rogue. Skill will allways be the biggest factor, but looking at potential, rogue and hunter will be your best bets for damage.
Paladins have been reworked a bit and can do decent damage along with the utility skills they have, but I still think most people will be reluctant to bring you along for doing damage alone. They can heal very well if you want to try that at some point however.
As far as races go it's really not a big deal before you hit endgame. You won't notice +1 crit from swords/maces, +1% hit etc while leveling up, but some of the "flavor"/utility skills can be very handy. You can read about the racial abilities on wowwiki.com and on the character creation screen. Covering both the PvE an PvP aspect of leveling up and endgame for all the alternatives would take a pretty huge wall of text so I suggest you figure out what you're most concerned with and take it from there.
I'd go for a race I like the looks of over a racial ability in most cases. None of the classes you list have any superobvious races except tauren as a tanking warrior and undead for a rogue if you end up playing horde.

Yes - you are totally wrong. A tank is a plate wearing class that can take the punishment from a boss or trash mobs and keep agro while everyone else does DPS or heals. that would be Warriors and Paladins - also Druids in bear form are capable of tanking. Warrior is widely held to be the best tank, but a properly equipped Paladin can hold agro like no other. It's just hard to get their equiment up to where it needs to be to tank the higher level raids.

so the between paladin and hunter, the best for doing the most damage would be hunter???

Yes, given two players of equal skill at the class.
But one big thing about WoW is that it comes down to the person staring at the computer screen playing the game. A Paladin with the right gear and talent build and the right knowledge could potentially (but not likely) out damage a Hunter.

Again it matters on the players skill but MOST of the time a hunter does deal more damage and i do like tauren hunters too, both pally's and warriors can tank but there very gear and spec dependent but i think warriors are just better at it but again it depends on the player but here are the classes i like with the races
Hunters-Tauren/Dwarves
Rogues-undead-NE
warriors-Tauren/Dranei
pallys-of course BE/humans
hope this helps you out good luck:thumbsup:

The Tauren racial ability War Stomp is quite handy for a Warrior, as it stuns a few enemies around you. The only downside is that you need to use certain specific attacks after that, because otherwise your Tauren will just stand there and wait until the 2 second-stun is over. Or that's just me, but I have this with both my Tauren..
A Dwarf's Treasure Finding is wonderful for a Rogue, especially when you're on the lookout for footlockers. (that, and I like the flavour part of giving a money-loving Rogue the advance over others when it comes to finding booty)
A Gnome's Expansive mind is an asset to every spell caster class, since that gives an extra 5% of intellect. It may not be much at first, but it can give you just that little advantage.
Trolls have Bow Specialization, which is really good for a Hunter. And they also have Beast Slaying, which is also nice for Hunters.
These are just the ones that I could think of for specific classes. There are racials that are beneficial in general (like the Draenei's Gift of the Naaru, a heal over time), or are more generic like resistance or an edge with a certain profession.
