Is my UI as ugly as I suspect it might be? haha.

I think that's quite cute actually, although the background on those panels would hurt my eyes. I'd have to change the colours m'self, but the layout... I like the layout.
It is clean and that is what matters. Not a big fan myself of squary areas and the pink/blue gradient, but there are a lot uglier UIs out there. Funky how few spells you have in there. Good memory?

does it work for you?
because that's ALL the matters!
I happen to be a fan of those colours, so I like it :)
i'm also rather square!

I personally don't like the colors, but layout wise, I've seen and made far worse.

I have almost the exact same setup but windows are black, not the multicolored pinkish.
I also think your monitor is wider than mine.
I have really wanted to put my simple mini map in that area, with omen but I just can't seem to get enough room.

I think the layout is fine, but I would find the colors hard to look at. But the nice thing about your interface, is that no one has to like it but you.

i have really bad reasons for the colors, haha. I use omen (like KTM threat meters, but tracks members without KTM--albeit, less accurately), damage meters, and cooldown timers. I originally had a gray to black variant on those boxes (and gray/black color schemes on my PitBull frames), which I liked. But, the previously mentioned mods have bright, abrupt colors in their scheme. Using them, in conjunction with my gray/black boxes was uglier.
I'm thinking I might just scrap omen and damage meters, as I mainly PvP now, anyway...replace my cooldown timers with one of many other, less flashy cooldown mods, and switch everything back to gray/black.

Well, admittedly, you're only looking at a level 39 rogue twink. He doesn't have all the skills his higher-leveled brethren do. But, I hate the look of action buttons...I really do. They clutter up my screen when I never click anyway. The only buttons you see there are autobar--which I would happily scrap if it weren't so freaking useful and intelligent (left click poison to apply to MH, right click for OH, etc). But, i've always been a hotkey fiend. Most of my toons actually don't run any action buttons at all. But with Aegrus (the rogue) and Diabolus (my warrior), I actually have hidden actionbars, so that I can page my hotkeys depending on whether or not I'm in stealth or battle/defensive/berserker stance.
Because of the paging, Aegrus actually uses fewer buttons than nearly all of my other toons, including my level 29 paladin and shaman. Aegrus uses the following as hotkeys:
Stealth:
Mouse Button 1 (MB1): cheap shot
MB 2: garrote
E: sap
F: stealth/unstealth
1: distract
Unstealthed:
MB 1: Hemo
MB 2: gouge
E: kick
1: Ghostly Strike
2: Kidney Shot
3: Eviscerate
4: Expose Armor
5: Slice and Dice
Unpaged Hotkeys:
Shift + MB1: sprint
shift + MB2: preparation
MB3: insignia
Shift + MB3: AB trinket
MB4 (scroll up): blind
Shift + MB4: cannibalize
MB5 (scroll down): will of the forsaken
q: vanish
Shift + e: evasion
I think that's it, anyway. My Shadowpriest has nearly everything mapped, and without the convenience of paging. He's more of a handful.

You are pink and cuddly
It's true, I am, my picture doesn't lie.
For the OP, the biggest thing about MODs is that they work for you. I've fiddled SOOO many times with mods, that I think look nice, but don't fit my play style. I've actually just decided to stick with the original layout.
I have to say, mods with text on the screen saying when who-who is casting really distract me. Don't they do that for you guys?
And MAN, I've not done any work and I'm leaving in an hour.....hmm.....*clicks 'new posts'* ....this place is like crack. Stop being so interesting!

what I like about the mods that involve "x is casting y" is that it helps me control multi-enemy situations much more efficiently. I might be on my rogue, attacking another rogue, and all of the sudden see "x is casting healing wave," which lets me know to turn, find the shaman, and either kick or blind him. On my warrior, when flag running, I'll stay in defensive stance the whole time unless one of the 5 or 6 people chasing me triggers the "x is casting fear" alert. I quickly switch to berserker, and get ready to rage.
Some people might be able to keep up with all of that junk without an addon. I am not one of them.

Ok, don't laugh.
But I guess I've yet to get to a point in the game where that would be useful. I can totally see it now. Especially in battle grounds. I guess I assumed it said what you were doing...I've had a few mods that told me "x have yseconds left" stuff like that that I found just confused me when I was playing.
I have to say, the reason why I didn't like most of my mods what that I felt I was loosing so much of my screen. You're mod is nice (or your screen is ginormous), since you don't feel like you're loosing any view.
