Help me change my char skin color to black!

When I first started playing WoW I saw a female blood elf in Silvermoon City with black skin, a black dress and white hair at the tailor shop. At the time I thought to myself, "golly-gee, wish I'd picked those colors from my character create menu." I was very new and very sleepy at the time. Later I realized she/he must have got those colors via an addon! I have been kicking myself repeatedly ever since because I did not ask her where. Her character was obviously imitating a drow. I'm a big drow fan and I desprately want this skin/hair color changing addon! Please, if you know where it is tell me!

You can't change the basic appearance of your character after you have been through the character creation screen.

To my knowledge - It doesn't work that way, any changes you make to your characters skin (not just the color but the character model "skin" [hair, skin, clothes, etc]) is (iirc) in violation of blizz's rules, would involve changing game files, would not be able to be done with just an addon, would most likely only be client-side (meaning no one else would see it but you). I don't know how to do this, or even where to start, though I'm sure some sites may tell you how to tamper with the game files, I wouldn't recommend it. I would suggest crossing your fingers and hoping that maybe that kind of change is coming along with some of the others in Wrath of the Lich King.

It is in violation of the rules to tamper with the game files in order to effect such visual changes.

It's not an addon, it's actually a loading issue - your pc didn't load the characters features correctly so it all went back.

You can locally change the model of your character, it's not legal but I've never heard of a ban for it; I know a few Tauren warriors and druids (cat form range bug and just size of the cow, respectively) who use such model changes.

I don't know where you can get one though.
