Hi!

I'm searching a private wow server with quests and all the stuff from the true servers.

i want it like the true wow servers.

I know SNIP SNIP and some others but I don't really know which is the best? Thanks!

You may wish to familiarize yourself with forum rules before posting this sort of thing....private servers are against Blizzard's Terms of Service, thusly not a welcome subject of discussion.

First you ask about private servers here, then on your second post you ask about account sharing? Is there anything in the Terms of Use you don't fancy breaking?

I'm going to tolerate this question and not ban you, because I believe it to be out of sheer ignorance.

What you are asking for is illigal. We do not support illigal activities nor aid people in them here at WoW Incgamers. Read the little agreement that pops up whenever there's a patch installed rather than blindly hitting 'I Agree' without knowing what you are agreeing to.

That's what an allowance and a paper route is for, I cut grass as a kid to purchase things I wanted that my parents wouldn't pay for.

Exactly. There is always work to be done. I've been working since I was 9 years old, and paid for everything I've ever had.

yeah yeah and we walked to school up hill both ways(I actually did for a while, I lived on a hill and so was the school). He does sound like he needs to read the game license and more importantly the forum rules. I am less offended by his cheating blizzard of their loot than I am his rudeness in violating the forum rules.

You get what you pay for. There's no substiture for the "true servers".

Agreed.

I've never played on private servers but I've heard it get's lame fast when there's only about 100 people online during a Friday or Saturday evening during the summer. Also I heard it get's lame when the server crashes out when 150 people are logged on and it takes 2 weeks for it to get back up, and the game client is about 2 patches behind the regular servers.

At least with a regular server crash it only takes an hour, at very the most, for the server to be brought back up. In that time you can go play on another server without much hassle.

I've dabbled in private servers a bit. It is very interesting from a technical standpoint, but fun while playing is hard to accomplish. If you've never played the real thing it's kind of a "you don't know what your missing"-deal. So I can see ppl who've never played WoW enjoy it. But as I had known the real thing long before exploring the private server scene I was spoiled and thus quickly bored.

Limitations:
- Lots of spells don't function correctly or at all
- Not a single mob does any kind of magic. The game is therefore reduced to a straight tank and spank of pure melee mobs.
- The quest-system is only a shade of what real wow is. If quest B is a followup of quest A you'll simply see both quests at the same time. Escort-quests don't work either. Often they just immediately mark it as completed so you can hand it right back in. All that's really left are kill-quests.
- If you cast, mobs aggro as soon as the spell leaves your hand, as opposed to when the spell hits the mob. Severely limiting mages, who rely on the mob-player distance to be at max.
- Magical resists are level-dependant, but melee hit/miss isn't
--> melee classes are heavily favored
- Most private servers enable a levelling and gold factor increasing xp gained and gold from gold-drops. Problem is that you level so fast that your gear lags behind immensely. This makes killing a mob a lot harder, so you kill lower levels, that give less xp (if any). The gold that drops might be sufficient to buy you some gear, but the AH is non-functioning, so player economy is zero.
- Some just try and fix this by giving you L70 and T6 gear for free, but then the game gets even more boring since there's nothing left to do.
- Eventually you get a server swamped with bored L70's in top gear, so everyone starts ganking lowbies and eachother.
- As mentioned, you need to maintain a separate client (if you play real wow as well) so that, if you patch live, the private stays.

In short: Private servers really suck unless you're a programmer who wants to contribute to the development of the server and/or the database.

Maybe in time it'll get "less sucky", but as free stuff attracts morons and GOOD free stuff attracts bigger morons and exploiters of said morons I can't see it getting anywhere near the qualifier "good".

Actually, I did pay for my own clothes at 9. Any my bike. And summer camp. And anything else I wanted that wasn't food or housing.

My point was simply that I have exactly zero tolerance for someone to break the rules and use the lack of funds as an excuse. Cry me a frickin river, go get a job!

Holy sh*t. Mitchy are you serious? Did you read any of the previous posts? This is NOT tolerated here.

Since it must be hard for you to read, heres a summation in bold, capital letters:
PRIVATE SERVERS ARE A VIOLATION OF THE BLIZZARD/WOW TOS AND EULA. THEY ARE ILLEGAL AND NOT ENDORSED ON THESE FORUMS.
