Is it possible to (as opposed to ordering the game and taking out the package and typing it in) either automatically upgrade your account from trial to normal, or to buy an authentification key on blizzard's website?

I think so. Have you tried going into your account on the WoW website? I know you can do a BC digital upgrade, I don't see why they wouldn't just let you upgrade your trial to full.

Yes, you can upgrade and get the "authentication" key (authentification isn't a word).

Try to log in to your trial account on the WoW website. I would think that's where it would be.
