Today I did the Skettis Prisoner Escort quest and it seems the the prisoner's agro range is larger as is the range of the giant bird's that fly around. I ended up having to kill 3 birds and 10 of those Arrakoa to complete the quest. The last three Arrakoa were on the ground around one of those circular things in the area...the prisoner went after one those small birds and then after that went after the three Arrakoa. Has anyone noticed this or was I just unlucky?

I normally blow the fire elemental CD on this escort anyway, so don't really mind if there are a few extra mobs to kill :)

As a rule, I don't do escort quests. I hate them and think they should be banned from the game.

The prisoner is an idiot and has always been. Attacks yellow mobs and the one that I have sapped. I do the quest because I like to grab it while some Alliance guys afks in front of the cage and tabs to the net to watch porn.

When they come back, the make rude gestures. I /lick them. I think they like to be licked by a troll.

I never noticed a change, but then again, my personal aggro radius was always pretty large, generally, whatever is within range of my gun. I like to shoot the birds.

I notice that he seems to aggro birds more in one of his three spawn points. Perhaps you use that point more rarely?

The one i mean is the south eastern point where he can spawn, I always seem to pull at least 2 birds when I escort him there, and usually 0 birds when I use either of the other two spots.

i always run ahead and clear out more mobs than necessary, mostly out of boredom. that way, he cannot chain pull himself into more and more mobs. And that has not changed since the last patch :)

I think it's mainly the neutral birds that are causing problems. If they are too close when the NPC runs down the ramp he will go for them and keep on attacking anything in range after he's done.
