(I couldn't find an applicable subforum to have this thread in, and I couldn't seem to get an answer in the Help forum, so if you're a mod and this belongs somewhere else or nowhere at all, do whatever you have to do)

Hi,

I sometimes draw character art freebies of people’s characters. Reply to this or message me with a screenshot of your character, along with any details you may want me to know, and I’ll add your character to my list. Every time I want to draw a character, I select from this list at random, and always draw the one who comes up, then message it to the winner. I’ve done this for a while on the popular Gaia forum site, and am now doing it for the most popular MMORPGs, including:

Ragnarok Online
World of Warcraft
MapleStory
Guild Wars
FlyFF

Here are the more popular examples of the ones I’ve done for members of the Gaia forums, in order of oldest to latest. They usually only take me between 1-2 hours total. Gaia’s quite anime-looking, but I can attempt a more realistic style upon request. Just let me know any preferences you have at all.
Feel free to ask to be added. Everyone gets added, no one gets rejected.:)

hehe thanks! =D that's right=) it's a list that i'll select from, randomly, every time i take a break from my usual work to make a drawing. they only take me 1-2 hrs. i work on a novel of mine all day, so giving myself a short drawing break is nice on occasion. i'm also doing this on the forums of the other games i mentioned, though, so you should know that my drawing time is shared between several different games. never hurts to be added to the list, though

Do you need any specific screenshots to be able to make a drawing? Like front, back, action, pose, etc?

full frontal shot is probably best, marlous=) i actually wanted to add this to the front post, but i couldn't figure out how to Edit it. is it possible? here's what i wanted to add, if not:

Edit: Please decide on the character AND outfit beforehand, instead of giving me a choice between several screenshots, (ideally, you would just show me 1 frontal full body screenshot) so that I don't have to juggle a lot of images per request. :)

Andrew, as much as I appreciate this gesture, might I point you to our forum rules (http://wow.incgamers.com/forums/rules/) and especially rule number six?

6. Thou Shalt Not Engage in Unnatural Bumping. We have a "bump up" feature, where the post with the most recent addition goes to the top of the forum listing. If your post is good, it'll be responded to. If it's responded to, it'll undergo the process we call Natural Bumping. Natural Bumping = good. Unnatural bumping = bad. Unnatural Bumping is where someone posts, "I'm adding this to put this thread back at the top." Do it, we slap your hand. Do it often, you pull back a bloody stump.

A good natural bumping would be, for instance, you posting a finished drawing of someone's character. :wink2:

i could really use a more populated WoW forum then, if i can't even bump..my WoW request list has only SEVEN people on it so far, whereas the other games have more (28 requests each for Guild Wars and Ragnarok Online so far). can anyone point me to a WoW forum where i might get more? (i can't use the official one because i don't actually play the game) point me to one and i'll be out of the moderators' hair :P

Hehe, yeah..I felt a bit cheeky asking for one of my characters to be drawn, but AndrewAnimation is so full of enthusiasm, that I give it a go. Actually would feel honored to have a pic done by somebody else. I think I spend a full 10 hour day on my "Dirty ole warlock" and also on "A day in the life of an Orc"

Andrew, is it okay to make a bit of an unusual request? I was initially thinking of a pic of my Blood Elf Warlock, but I started thinking.. she's having a bit of a 'romance' with another BElf, and with Valentine's Day coming up I'm starting to really like the idea of having a drawing of those two together..

If that's possible, just let me know - then I can start making the necessary screenshots. ^.^

sorry, i actually wanted to say it in the front post, but i think we can't edit stuff in this forum, so it's too late, but i can't do couple art because it would exceed my usual limit of 1.5-2.5 hours per drawing. sorry:( i'd be glad to accept both characters in your case as separate entries, and in the unusual circumstance that they're both eventually drawn, i'd be glad to out them together=)

Hit the 'Print Screen' button on your keyboard - it saves the screenshots in your WoW folder.

also: if you want a screenshot without the user interface in the picture, hit alt+z and it toggles it on/off.

i draw for 10 games and get 1 character done every 2 days, except saturdays, when i draw one of my own, so that calculates to about 1.4 characters per game per month

Err, it shows up in your browser because you have it on your computer. Unless we have your screenshot on our computers at that exact location with that exact name, there is no possibility of us ever finding it that way. Try to upload it to the internet, www.imageshack.com is a good place to store online images.

added, aerath=) speaking of druid forms, i'm not sure if it's a druid, but i once saw a video on youtube or something of a time a group of players on wow interrupted a deceased player's wow funeral by defeating the attendants, and one of the attacking party was a guy who transformed into what looked like a big strong guy who was all dark with some glowing green parts or something, according to memory. could i get a pic of whatever that is? i liked its design=)

Never watched the clip, though I know which you mean. I can't say it sounds like a Druid from the description though.

I don't think he was guaranteeing that he would do any. It looks like he has piles from all different games and he grabs one at random now and then and the lucky person gets a pic - like a raffle. You all toss in your tickets but not everyone gets a prize.
