I am currently building a computer for the express purpose of running two World of Warcraft accounts. Ideally it would be able to run smoothly at 16X10 with max graphics settings on two screens side by side, one account on each screen.
I'm currently looking at the following hardware:
Motherboard: ASUS Striker Extreme
Graphics Cards: 2x GeForce 8800GT Superclocked 512 in SLI
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad 2.4GHz
RAM: 4x Mushkin 1GB
Hard Drives: 2x Western Digital Raptor 74GB 10,000 RPM SATA in Raid 0
Power Supply: Thermaltake 700W
I've heard that WoW can only utilize duel core. However, if I'm running two instances of the game could it run one instance on 2 cores and the other instance on the other 2?
Also, is there any way to make the build better while keeping the price under 2k?
Here's a link to the wishlist on newegg with links to all the components:
