Have you done all of the quests in outlands yet?
My fiance and I made about 3k each through quests and drops in Netherstorm.

Outland quests at 70 are great for gold. Beyond that, there's the daily quests (2 in skettis, 4 in blade's edge, plus the cooking quest is good, and then there's the random dungeon/heroic dungeon/battleground dailies for more gold too). They really help.

no i have skipped most group and harder ones... resto druids suck at solo questing... and most people dont have the time to help XD... this also applys to dailys wit the kill quest... mostly i am looking for a lucrative lower level mob that drops good stackables (similar to the birds in deadwind before kara groups went on hunting sprees) or one of the lower instances people have had good luck with farming for mats to sell or vendor trash...
also hanks for ur patients - im posting via cell phone

What are your professions?
Skinning, mining or flower picking are always huge gold earners.
I would say the blood elves in Terokar - arcane tomes got for 30g and up on my server though they are a low drop there (better in Netherstorm) You can get tons of cloth and cash and greys.
Never sell netherweave for less than 3g50s a stack though. it is 3g a stack to vendors if you make heavy bandaids and there is a 40s deposit to AH it.
Or use the mage and grind Blood elves right outside Area 52 - sell signets, tomes and greys. Decent chance at greens.
Flower picker scour Netherstorm and pick anything you see - good shot at mana motes off netherbloom plus stacks of netherbloom itself sells for 25-30g on my server

Seriously, even resto druids can get the daily quests done, only one of the Blade's Edge ones involves killing something. As far as the group quests... if you are a healer, you already are at an advantage. As a hunter, I've had very little difficulty collecting the people necessary to get a group done, and I have to *look* for a healer and a tank. The group quests are good for more than normal gold (normal is around 12g, group ones are typically around 20g+). If you do the 2 skettis daily quests, and the 4 blade's edge ones (Ogri'la and Skyguard ones), plus the cooking daily, you should get around 70 - 80g a day... and it should take no more than an hour and 15 minutes to do them (give or take, depending on how available the skettis escort is). The killing quest in Blade's Edge usually has people asking to group up to make it go faster (as does the skettis escort quest) which significantly helps, especially if you are a resto druid or other healer (or tank) build.
There is a bombing the eggs quest in Skettis, a escort quest in Skettis, capture/lasso 5 aether rays in Blade's Edge, a game of lethal "Simon Says" in Blade's Edge, a "bomb the cannonballs while you get shot at by flak cannons" quest in Blade's Edge, and a "kill 15 demons while they are near this portal thingy" quest in Blade's Edge. For the Cooking quest, there's one to kill a bird in Skettis to fry up its wing with some Warp Burgers, there's one to cook some clefthoof meat out at a fire in an area in Nagrand surrounded by ghosts, there's one to pick berries in Netherstorm, and one to cook some serpent and raptor meat over the corpse of a demon up in Blade's Edge.

you could also use your profession to make some cash... im a blacksmith and miner...i will take a day or two (or an hour or two) to go farm ore and mats, and then ill make things like phantom blades or pieces of armor to sell in the AH. i also do a bit of buying low and selling high (usually twink items)
my brother buys low and sells high and he's only lvl 37 and he has enough gold to buy his mount, his epic mount, his flying mount, and his epic flyer from doing that...of course hes a bit hardcore that way.
and outland questing and dailies FTW. i cant stress how valuable those two are...the money just rolls in without much effort on your part.

My druid is enchanting - engineering
Mage is enchanting - jewel crafter
61 Priest is Herby - Alchemist (to low for neatherstorm herbying)
I have had good luck with the spiders in terrokkar by the keep but flooding the market sucks...
I will see about the dailys and try some group quest though last time i could only find newbs/jack asses
Dailies for sure...that is 120 gold right there in an hour or 2. The daily heroic is 25 gold and badges, not counting chance for nice drops (ofc that takes longer to find a group and actually complete it)

One caveat for the dailies -- the Blade's Edge ones will not be available until you do the Ogri'la prerequisite quests (which require groups to kill Durn's brothers) A plus note is after you finish the prerequisite quests, all ogres in Blade's Edge will no longer be aggro to you. And even then, you need to make it up to a certain rep with Ogri'la to be able to unlock all of them. The Skettis ones will only unlock when you do the Skettis prereqs (which I believe are soloable).
As to the pvp and dungeon dailies -- the PvP ones can be annoying, especially if you have problems in your battlegroup with people intentionally failing the battleground. But, it is decent honor and 11g too. The non-heroic and heroic dailies are what I use to determine which dungeons I want to do that day, and I've found that there tends to be more people interested in doing those specific dungeons on the day there are daily quests for them, which helps in getting a group for them.

Yeah, definitely get to the point where you can do dailies - there's 100G at least for an hour of your time everyday. If you get your epic flyer you can do the Netherwing dailies - two of which reward (iirc) 18G each. Dunno if you can but places like Mara, DM, etc are great places to get loot to sell or DE - I go there on my hunter but I don't think a resto could do that at all. Food mats are a good money maker - ravager, basilisk, and warped flesh sell nicely to name a few. Also herbs, some herbs are going for a few gold a piece on my server right now as are enchanting mats - 2.5G for one illusion dust . . . wtf? lol That price hike is why the mage I'm playing now is stuck at 290 enchanting (I'm waiting for Illusion dust prices to go down - woot hit OL last night on this toon!). My wife makes a bundle on actual food buffs and flasks (35-50G a piece for a Flask of Relentless Assault does her nicely - 10G to make and it sells for say 40G - she makes 5 - cost her 50G to make and she makes 150G profit for about 5 mins of time).

you really don't get much money farming in Azeroth. Outland is way better. Quests and dailies way better than farming for gold.

Think i should spec out of my Enchanting for Herby? im only at 241 enchanting... or should i take up mining?

It should be fairly easy to stealth to the uldaman bosses and farm them for shards for fiery enchants which are 25 gp a pop. Not to hard to far the fire either from ungoro.

If both you and your friend's mage tend to team up a lot, then it's not so useful to both have enchanting. But that's just my 2 copper pieces.. and besides, at 241 it might be starting to become really profitable - enough so to not change to a gathering profession.

One other suggeestion is this - get gear in the end of a bracket 26-29, 36-39,46-49 etc and slap an appropriate enchant on it and then AH it. I rarely don't sell items in this way and it's a way to sell enchants without vending your enchants in trade. Shhhh don't tell everyone this lol.
Imagine the guy that's twinking a Sword Spec Rogue for the 19 bracket finding 1 or 2 Cruel Barb
with agility already on them for sell. You can hike the price above the standard cost of the weapon and the standard cost of the enchant as you're saving that person some time and IMO that = money, so people (even after doing that math) don't mind spending an extra 5-10 Gold. Just don't go crazy when doing this technique, or you will loose some money.

LoL i wasnt going to say anything because i knew what he ment
I found that strange dust sells for like 30s-50s per (not stack) think it might be worth beating SFK a few hundred times to see if its lucrative? also would a large agil or mongoose help an assasins blade sell higher? dont wanna spent too much on enchants and not get the cash back

Yea lol . . . No, that was an example (I used the cruel barb b/c its just so common) =P  Like I sold these crappy green bracers that were only +9 Nature Spell Damage (maybe level 26 or something) with a +5 stam enchant and sold em for 10-15G.
I don't enchant something to AH if I don't already have the mats (so I don't loose money really), though if it's just that good of an item, I'll buy some and enchant it. I originally got the idea (not that it hasn't been being done for years) from purchasing this blade Searing Blade for a warrior I was making and it came with 15 Agil already on it. It was the first time I'd seen something already enchanted and selling on the AH and you could see the light-bulb turn on over my head
