First off let me clarify. I am looking for ONE mod, not a package. That said, lets proceed.
The mod I am looking for would do this. When displaying a tooltip for an item, either by mousing over one in the inventory or clicking a link in the chat, if the item were equipment it would also display the item you have equipped in the corresponding slot. This was useful to me and I want it back!
Thanks,
Me

that mod is EquipCompare, there is also a Ace version no idea what its called but you dont need that mod if you hold shift when mousing over a item it will show you what you have equipped by default, you could also try Link Wrangler.

There's at least three or four which currently work:
EquipCompare is/was the original version, not sure if that's still going. EQCompare is the Ace rewrite of it which is now discontinued but still works - just to be confusing this also shows up in game as EquipCompare.
Mirror is the one I'm running from Ace, seems to work fine for me.
TekkiCompare (or TekCompare or something, I forget exactly) is another one which is very light and well written but you have to get it from a couple of specific sites which I don't use.

Equip compare works great in combination with Rating Buster, which will help u see what stats mean and how two items compare to each other.

I use EQcompare since about a week, because I already have a couple of ACE2 based addons. What I like most, is that I am also able to "dress" with linked recipes. Like for instance, if there is a recipe in chat, auction house or in a profession window, I can see how I look with the weapon or gear.

Before I used EQcompare, I would get a notice saying, that the item (recipe) would not be able to wear. In German it said: "Dieser Gegenstand kann nicht angelegt werden."

The ability to "dress-up" with recipes was added in a recent patch.
