Hi guys,

I'm trying to learn more about arena battles.

I'm lvl 52 currently. On the WoW site it states that arenas are only for lvl 70. But in SW there is an arena NPC battlemaster and it appears that I can select 2x2 or 5x5, etc arena, and I also see an option to join a practice arena.

If this is the case, where can I find out more about how these work?

Thanks

If you're UNDER lv70, you can only do "practice" matches. You will not recieve a rating or any points to spend on Arena gear.

Oh ok

The other options seemed available to me as well but I didnt select them since I wanted to practice first anyway.

Is "arena" and 2x2 the same thing? Maybe I'm thinking of something else?

Thanks

Yeah, there are 2 main ways to PvP in WoW..

1. "Regular" BGs
http://www.wowwiki.com/Battleground

WSG: available at levels 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70.
AB: available at levels 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70.
AV: available at levels 51-60, 61-70.
EOTS: available at levels 61-69, 70.

2. Arena PvP system
http://www.wowwiki.com/Arena_PvP_System

Only level 70 player characters can gain a Team Rating or Arena Points. Characters below level 70 can engage in practice matches. Teams require an Arena Team Charter in order to create an official team.

The arena allows for 2v2, 3v3 and 5v5.

Three Arenas are currently available:

* The Ring of Trials in Nagrand
* The Circle of Blood in Blade's Edge Mountains
* The Ruins of Lordaeron in Tirisfal Glades (released in patch 2.1).
