Un'Goro Power Crystals - how to conver them?

Hi guys,

I did the quest when you first collect 7 of each color of power crystal, turn it in, and then have to find the crystal towers.

I haven't turned in all the tower quests yet, but my understanding is at the end you get an instruction manual on how to convert these crystals into some buffs, and that the manual just tells you how many of each to combine and which tower for which buff.

When you're at the right tower for the buff you want, how do you initiate the creation of these buff items? I have about 50-100 of each power crystal in my bags, but when I right click on the tower it just brings up the Quest screen with some text and 'goodbye' since I already found the tower.

Or do I first have to turn in all the quests for this to work?

Hi there, I'm pretty sure you need to turn in all the tower quests first, then proceed with the power crystal combinations. Now I say pretty sure because I received said manual, but never did the power crystal conversions. I've ended up leveling so fast that I've pretty much ignored things like that on the way to Outlands, which is in one level for me.

Edit: Sorry, it's 2am here and my mind isn't quite right, lol. Hopefully this information I researched will help you further:

North
YG: target healed of 670 damage over 15 seconds.
RY: AOE damage. 383-517 in a 3(?) yard radius.

West
RG: you gain 200 armor for 30 minutes
RB: enemy loses 200 armor for 30 minutes

East
BG: target gains 30 spirit for 30 minutes
BY: attackers receive 12 damage for 10 minutes

Basically I do believe that you take the combinations to their respective towers (such as West tower: Red+Green gives 200 armor for 30 minutes), and right click on the tower, which will then give you a buff for whichever color combos you put in that work with said tower. I THINK that is how it works, I am pretty sure though you need the manual quest part done first before these options open up to you.

Yes now that I have the book the towers now show a blue "?" mark and as long as I can convert the crystals.

The 'charge' AoE one is great, only thing i don't like is that you have to first select the 'spot' you want it to explode at, so it's kind of hard to do that while in combat, even though I keybinded it that hotkey I put it on.

Any advice on using that in combat?

Per your avatar you're a rogue, can you not KS, Blind, or use another stun on them long enough to fire it off? You'll have to excuse me if that sounds dumb and I'm missing something, as I have said, I haven't used the power crystal charges as I was leveling too fast and wanted to get out of Ungoro asap (hate the place, lol).

yes I'm a rogue. My blind has a bit of channeling time, I don't use it as often as I should I guess...

The nice thing about this Charge buff is that it takes no energy to use, and it seems there is no cool down so I can whip out a few in a row of needed (which is a LOT of damage)

If I blind, any damage will undo the stun, so the first charge will undo the blind anyway.

I did hear the Charge buff is very useful in PvP, and there I can see how, as you can attack a couple of players at once if they are close to each other without being in active combat with them yet (ie - if they are attacking another player and I'm coming up to the group and not in active battle yet)

Hmm, well, I'd tell ya to 5pt KS the guy (as I don't think KS is undone by damage), but, well, by that time the mob is probably dead :) And now that I thought it over, using Blind a lot just to get a charge off is kind of wasteful on reagents, so that isn't any good. From what I'm seeing, the West Tower buffs look like they are going to be overall more useful to you as a rogue. CS and KS are about the only things that you can fire off without damage undo-ing them and not wasting expensive reagents.

I wish I had better answers for you, lol. Good luck and stay away from King Mosh....he's mine ;)
