I currently play Horde on a PVP server. I have recently gotten my wife to play and she has leveled to 62. The problem is the ganking is gotten so bad that she has gotten upset to the point that she says the game is no longer fun and is not interested in playing anymore. From what I understand most of the Horde have left the server and gone to other servers. The Ally to Horde ratio on my server is like 10 to 1. Does anyone know of a pvp server where the ratio is closer to 1 to 1 or maybe even more Horde than Ally. If not maybe we need to switch to a PVE server. I would miss the real world PVP but there is a point where it just gets to be too much and you can't enjoy other aspects of the game.

Do a google search for WoW Census. There are a few sites out there that will tell you stats of Ally vs. Horde, server population, as well as the percentages of each race and class. That should help you find a server that will suit you better.

If you do switch to a PvE server, you can always just keep yourself flagged PvP. You might be surprised at how much world pvp you end up involved in. Sometimes people just can't resist the yellow name above your head.

Are you playing on the European servers or the American? Can't offer you much recommendation without knowing.

Andorhal is good - my wife and I enjoy it. We're alliance, but I beleive there's about a 2/1 ratio of horde versus alliance (though I'm not 100% - maybe create a toon and check the cities out?) And yeah she hit that point too until she started getting lots of + spell damage gear and started pwning them back! lol

I took her out on a few pvp adventures and she started to like it more as she was kind of a carebear for a long time. Now she doesn't instantly attack horde, but is more likely too and is always ready instead of giving them the benfit of the doubt and then getting frustrated and saying wtf did I do . . .and having me saying - it's a pvp server baby . . . she's like no sh*t ! lol

Now, she's prepared, keeps and eye out, doesn't allow her mana to go all the way down, etc.

Check us out on our mage's (before I changed my name (now: Delusions - it's good that they know the main's name that is coming to avenge the lowbie - it actually helped me not get ganked a few times lol)

Ohhh so close!!!! (He was full when he jumped us) Had we been full that dude would have been toast!

if you dont want to get ganked roll Care Bear Server (PvE).

The RP-PvP servers tend to have a more balanced Horde-to-Alliance faction. They may also have more of an atmosphere your wife will enjoy.

if you dont want to get ganked roll Care Bear Server (PvE).

Any reason for a derogatory statement? There are no PvE servers. There is forced PvP or consensual PvP. Even though, it really is your choice either way. You either live with constant ganking (or the potential for constant ganking) on the PvP servers, or you can pick and choose when you want to participate in PvP (or RP/PvP) on the Normal (or RP) servers. There is no need for the term "Care Bear" servers, as there are no PvE servers in WoW, the Horde and Alliance are not on the same side, everyone is not extremely friendly and on good terms. If I see someone from the other faction flagged and doing PvP somewhere, I have the choice to participate, or not. On a situational basis. I have the ability to choose when and where I deal with PvP, rather than having to deal with ganking all the time which gets quite tiresome and very old.

I am playing on an American Server.

I have much less experience with the American servers than the European, but I would agree with Renata that RPPvP servers (which is the server type I now play on both my European account and, when I get around to it, my American one) generally have a good ratio and a community your wife may enjoy more. There's still ganking on any PvP ruleset server, but I've never been on an RPPvP server where it was intolerable enough to make levelling a character difficult. Any RP or RPPvP server is subject to a few additional rules which you can read here (http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?articleId=20458).

I would further suggest taking a look at one of the more established American RPPvP servers such as Twisting Nether, The Maelstrom or Lightninghoof, as opposed to the newer servers like The Venture Co. and Ravenholdt. It should make grouping easier, and the Horde:Alliance ratio tends to have settled down over time.
