Khorium woes... :(

Im a tank and i want to make the Gyro Balanced Khorium Destroyed. I was wondering where there was a good place to find Khorium nodes. I know they are random spawn over Outlad but so far I have found 1 node in a cave in Nagrand.

Do you miners out there notice a trend in where they spawn, like more caves, certain places on mountains, etc. I have spent about 4 hours so far and gotten 2 bars total. Just wondering about your thoughts.

no way around just being a tad lucky here. Id just save time and buy it. Its a random spawn at an adamanite node I think. I have found blades edge to be a decent spot.

Close, it's a rare spawn of a Fel Iron node (Rich Adamantite Veins are rare Adamantite veins).

As the Valheru said Davin, there is no way but to be a tad lucky when you are grinding. Buying from the AH will be much quicker but more expensive obviously, your best bet is to buy it now if you can afford it, and then grind out veins over the next couple of months and sell what you mine to recoup the cost. Were it a more modest number of Khorium Bars required I'd say spend 2-3 hours a day mining, but 20 (40 ore) really is a lot to get in a short space of time.

I agree with that. Depending your servers khorium prices it will cost quite much to buy them but it's quite much faster to do daily quests and stuff like that to make enough money to buy them from AH than trying to mine them all by yourself.

Even if you don't play every day, make sure you get on the AH every day, preferably more than once. People will freqently list things cheaper than they should, and if you're being diligent, you can snatch up the bargain Khorium before someone else does.

While you're at it, you can search for other bargains at the same time, and maybe you can finance your entire Khorium-buying operation.

Dont know if mining or questing is more profitable. I just set up a routine that before I log, I take 2 trips around Zanger and mine. I have 40 Khorium bars by doing this. Also have loads of Adamantite and Felliron that I sell in the AH.

There are days that go by where I dont get any Khorium, but I have also had those lucky days where I get 3 modes in 2 trips around.

I was thinking about just lapping Nagrand or BEM a couple time a day and seeing what i could find. I need the Primal airs and Nagrand seems to be the easiest place to find them. Also I can grind rep for Mag'har and Consortium (which really dosent mean much for a Tank w/ Blacksmithing), but hey...why not. It was funny, I was just going to buy some yesterday, and there was none in the AH...NONE!! I cant even buy the stuff. Ive seen it before but it was just funny to me that I couldnt even buy the ****. lol :ponder:

socrethar's seat in netherstorm.. 2 adamantite nodes and 1 fel iron node spawn at this north eastern island in Netherstorm.. usually a regular adamantite and more often than not, a rich adamanatite.. and I get more khorium here than anywhere else. I just park my mining/herbing toon on his flying mount right above the island, log out.. quest on alts or bg, or raid.. and once every 15 minutes or so.. log in and mine the 2 nodes plus pick the 3-4 nodes of neterhbloom, mana thistle, and dreaming glory that spawn on this tiny island as well. Rinse and repeat.. easy way to make 500+ gold a day while not having to farm continously. Because it requires a flying mount to get to, less competition for the nodes.
