I am fairly new to WOW but have a couple of lvl 50+ toons so im not a complete newb.
I currently have no mods running and want to have the best experience possible, can anyone recommend mods that i should use or direct me somewhere that can tell me.
I would also need to know how to install these mods as i have never done so before.

Thanks in advance

A good bar mod like Bongos2 is very very helpful, Auctioneer will help you when you AH stuff or need to find out what vendors for what, a quest mod like TomTom/Lightheaded helps figure out where a quest is and gives you information on what to expect, and a map mod such as Cartographer is always useful. You can get great mods in the UI section of the website here, but there are other places to go if you can't find what you need here. I'm fairly sure I can't link them here though.

Omen, dangerous boss mods, auctioneer, cartographer, atlas loot, trinity bars or bongos, bigwigs, metahud, pitbull

you no longer need tom tom...but lightheaded is great

those are my most common ones

*nods on many of the ones already mentioned*

A few others I really like to use. Advanced Tradeskill Window really makes your professions much easier. AutoProfitX auto-sells your greys to a vendor. Gatherer shows nodes of herbalism/mining/treasure on your world map and/or minimap, making it easier to see where certain nodes are found. UberQuest is a must for quest logs, because you get a bigger screen where you can overview and read everything more easily.

I like the bag mods. I think I am using bagnon currently and it saves you having to open bags separately. Very handy. Mobinfo2 is good as well.

I use Auctioneer to help me make money, TitanBar for exp tracking and some other stuff, and Bongos to arrange my UI the way I like it. Some people (rotten) use tons of mods, but I don't use much.

I also use DruidBar, so I can track my mana while in forms. Some mods, like this, are specific to your class.

Check out UI central, and look at pics of UIs that people have posted. That can give you a better idea of how you want your UI to look, then you can pick what you like.
