View Full Version : Fast mount vs. PVP fast mount

Hi

I'm almost lvl 60 and will be buying my fast mount soon.

What's the difference between the fast mount I can get with PVP rewards (if I recall it only needs 10 medals from Warson, AB, AV?) and the one I would buy in Darnassus?

Can the PVP mount be used outside of PVP?

Is it a different color, or is there anything special about the one I can buy with PVP rewards?

they look different...and you dont need rep to ride them...

they work out in the real world, and make you look like an elitist jerk with too much time on your hands :)

Yep 30AB, WSG and AV Marks for the PvP mounts. Or, you can get the AV reward mount, which costs only 50 AV marks (the easiest marks to get) and is the same speed as the other PvP mounts. Remember though, you still need to shell out the 600g (less up-to a 20% discount) for the Journeyman riding skill whichever mount you choose to go with.

Sounds like the AV reward would save me some time.

Is it the look/color that differs between the AV rewards mount and PVP rewards mount?

Yes, there's just a difference in colour. A regular PvP mount will cost you 30 tokens from each of AV, WSG and AB, and an AV mount will cost you 50 AV tokens.

Does anyone know where to turn in the 50 AV tokens for the mount?

I don't have 50 yet but I was curious about the mount available with those rewards. I went to Stormwind keep but the mount vendor there just seems to have the 30/30/30 mount.

Gaelden Hammersmith in alterac valley or Thanthaldis Snowgleam in alterac mountains at the AV entrance....if you are alliance of course.


you get a white ram...kinda decent looking, but i always liked the regular pvp mounts better

I got my 30/30/30 marks and used them for the PVP mount.

Actually kind of dissappointed because it looks so much like the regular mount, I would have been better off using my marks towards a sword I need and some other stuff LOL.


I don't know why it's called a "Black War Tiger", there is NO black anywhere on it (except maybe under it's paws)


Looks 99% just like the one I could have just purchased for 80g in Darnassus.

My preist has a Black war tiger useable at 55 with only 75 riding skill... still epic still 100%... As far as your complaint - unfortunatly the main point is to get other factions mounts easier. This was also better when the training was 80g and mounts 500g. Just be happy you have an epic mount! They are great!

What else do you spend your AV marks on? I hit the 100 limit and bought the ram mount. Then I hit the limit again and bought the AV battle standard. Now I'm close to hitting the limit again and would rather spend it than just throw them away.

There's a lot of armor and weapons you can use AV marks for (along with honor points)

They do however you saved that 80g and it will help (only a little, but help none-the-less) to buy a flying mount when you hit 70!!!

a other race's normal mount certainly makes you look more like a EJ with too much time than the pvp tiger EVERY alliance seemed to ride the days before BC. i am glad my gnome is IF exalted :P
