Hello all...

Hoping you can help me out.

I've been playing WoW on a laptop for the last year. I had one of those geared out laptops that worked really well for me (company bought it).

Well, the laptop went out on me last night. Froze mid-game. When this happens I usually just have to reboot. This time I only got the blue screen of death on reboot. I was able to narrow it down to memory problems and was able to get my laptop up and running again. I reformatted the drive so that I could get a fresh install of XP and WoW going.

I have a BC account - and it allows me to download BC from the WoW website, but when it gets to the end of downloading it tells me that I have purchase a copy of the original game (world of warcraft).

I've already purchased WoW and Burning Crusade (online), but no longer have my copy of "World of Warcraft."

Do I have to buy another copy of the first game?

I can't seem to find where to download the first game from my account management screen.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

ps - I finally went out and got a gaming rig. I went ahead and got a Dell XPS 720 fully loaded. I probably could have built a system for less, but I no longer have the time nor the patience to build my own so I splurged...

Okay...

I guess I am a tard.

I went home during lunch to see if I could get it working.

I downloaded the trial version.

When I log in it says my account is incompatible with the trial version! And that I need to download a full version of the original (not BC).

I would think that if you've already bought an original you should be able to get another copy since I dl'd from the online store.

I'm still stuck and hoping you all could help.

Thanks.

Okay.

Was able to find a full client edition of World of Warcraft.

The newer trial-versions are not the full client, but a streaming app.

I would recommend to all to keep a copy of the both clients WoW and Burning Crusade.

Additionally I would backup all patches so in case of system failure you can easily get WoW up and running.
