Hey, I just got WoW and am on the Burning Crusade trial, I'll probably buy BC this week. I'm a level 8 Blood Elf Warlock, and I have a question. I bought a spell that I decided I didn't like. Is there a limit to how many spells I can buy?
Also, if I upgrade to BC online, will I be able to reinstall the client via the internet if I buy a new computer? or should I just go to the store?
Thanks
Once you create an account and purchase burning crusade you can always re-install the software by downloading the client(s).

Nope, no limit. You buy the skills you deem useful, though they all have their uses. Some might be situational, but they're still useful.

Alright thanks. I just upgraded to BC.
But I hvae two questions. Is the BC trial client the same as the retail one? (or do I have to redownload it)
Also, does starting my char as a trial char make it so he's weaker or his stats aren't the same?
And also, are the stats supposed to be updated automatically as you level? I've only been getting 1 point per stat per level, is that normal?
My concern is that the trial wouldn't give me the same amount of stats as a full account.

Don't worry about it, all the limitations of the trial disappear once you make the purchase, and yes, the trial client is the same as the retail one :) Have fun playing.

The only difference between a trial character and a full character is the access you have to certain services - using the IM function, the Auction House, the trade window with another player, etc.. to your character itself there's no restriction.
As for spells you don't use, if you can afford it then I'd suggest you do buy them. I myself always make sure to buy all spells and skills at the trainer, because even though at the time I think it's useless I may change my mind later. Life Tap for example, I never thought I'd use it but now I couldn't do without it anymore. Having all spells and skills available to you means that you're free to play with them and try them out, maybe even develop a new playstyle, without having to go back to a trainer first.
The stats are indeed increased by 1 every time you level, and not even all of them. The way you should increase your important stats is to get gear that has extra stats added to it (the items with their name in grey or white don't have this yet, it starts at green). For you, stamina is by far the most important, and strength/agility is completely useless.

Just because a spell doesn't make sense to you at first doesn't mean you shouldn't buy it. You may find, like Marlous said, that a spell you don't like at first becomes indispensible later.
Just out of curiosity, what spell was it that you don't like?

For some reason it just had to be a Warlock with the name of AleisterCrowley.
I have an ork rogue called Thelema.

Well, I rerolled a paladin, and I have one last question:
Are these decent base stats (without gear) for a level 15 BE Pally?
str:33
agi:30
sta:34
int:36
spr:29

Of course - everyone is going to have the exact same stats without gear.

I thought stats were random. And someone told me that you usually get 2 and 3s, and I never got any 2 or 3s so I felt cheated out of stats or something.
I was told that you're supposed to get 2s and 3s occasionally and I havn't.

Each race and class combination has the same starting stats.. of course a NElf Rogue has a higher starting agility than, say, a Dwarf. The official sites lists all these stats for you, so that you can decide what combination of race/class you'd like. But honestly, all those stats are set in stone. Nothing is rolled for to create a random number.

So, a level 70 paladin and another level 70 paladin of the same race, with alltheir equipment off, would be exactly the same stats?

Disregarding eventual talents that modify stat by a certain %, yes

There would definitely be no difference worth changing race for.

My talent points aren't working... I put a point in imp devotion, which adds an 8% armor bonus. But its still exactly the same, not improved at all.. ??
