PVP reward question

Ok I took a short break form WOW and now that I am back I see that the lvl 70 PVP honor armor and weapon rewards have been changed to the Season 1 arena. When did this happen and can I still get the old 70 honor gear or is that gone for good?

Happened when season 3 started I believe (a couple of months ago).

No, it's gone forever. Why would you want it anyways? All the new gear is a step up from what was there previously.

Also, fyi, all the veterans gear upgraded as well.
